Titan Launches RUNWAY: A Premium Sunglasses Retail Experience
The lifestyle giant Titan giant has announced the opening of RUNWAY from the House of Titan, its first exclusive brand store in Bengaluru, marking the beginning of its entry into the luxury sunglasses retail market. The word “RUNWAY” draws inspiration from the fashion industry and combines the finest elements of over 20 leading global sunglasses brands. The company’s commitment to meeting the changing needs of discriminating Indian consumers and capitalizing on the growing demand for premium eyewear is demonstrated by the launch of the new retail brand, RUNWAY by House of Titan, which will complement the company’s current eyewear business and target the premium segment. A second store launch at the Indira Gandhi International Airport’s Terminal 1 will happen soon after the first one on CMH Road in Bengaluru.
With a predicted 10% compound annual growth rate, the business values the Indian premium sunglasses industry at Rs 800 cr. Rising disposable incomes, more exposure to global brands, and a greater fashion consciousness among Indian customers are all credited with this growth. The market is still fragmented, though, which makes it an excellent chance to offer a high-end, carefully chosen purchasing experience. RUNWAY fills this void by providing a carefully chosen assortment of high-end sunglasses from the most sought-after international labels in the world, such as Tom Ford, Prada, Cartier, and Oliver People.
The recently combined CMH store, where RUNWAY and Titan Eye+ come together to reinvent eyewear buying, will carry this exclusive collection. The company has also announced the release of MyoSlo, a cutting-edge free-form lens made especially for kids with progressive myopia, in conjunction with the debut of RUNWAY. Titan’s MyoSlo lens is a scientifically established treatment that successfully slows the growth of myopia by lowering eye elongation; a recent research found a 39% reduction in this way. With the help of this cutting-edge lens technology, parents can protect their children’s vision in the future.
There will be a separate center for Audiology located in the new integrated RUNWAY store in Indiranagar. By providing clients with access to cutting-edge audiology testing services, this project deepens Titan’s dedication to all-encompassing eye and hearing care solutions.
The CEO of Titan’s EyeCare Division, Saumen Bhaumik, expressed his thoughts on the launch, saying, “The launch of RUNWAY represents a significant milestone for the House of Titan.” Although Titan Eye+ has made a name for itself in the prescription market, RUNWAY enables us to serve a rising clientele that is looking for a genuinely unique and high-end experience in the sunglass market. With this calculated move, we are better positioned to take advantage of the growing market in India for high-end sunglasses and to expand the sunglasses category through retail sales under RUNWAY. Furthermore, we are focusing less on sophisticated optical and audiology services with the launch of the MyoSlo lens and the Center of Audiology at the shop, ensuring Titan stays at the forefront of providing solutions that offer great value.
