Disney+ Hotstar Unveils 3D Anamorphic Billboards for ‘Kingdom of Apes’
Disney+ Hotstar set a new benchmark for digital entertainment advertising with the launch of 21 3D anamorphic billboards across Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru for the in-app release of Kingdom of the Planet of Apes. It was inventive in its usage of technology, thus not just setting a benchmark but reaffirming Disney+ Hotstar’s commitment to bringing immersive and engaging experiences to audiences.
The innovation of 3D anamorphic billboards is set up in multiples across city key locations at Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru—Jio World Drive, Cyber Hub, Garuda Mall, among others—fully transforming the cityscape with striking, lifelike images and bringing into being the epic world of the Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.
These billboards feature the movie’s apes leaning out from the screen, to give passersby the impression that the apes really could jump out on them at any time. The billboards are ‘intelligently’ designed, with cutting-edge visual technology in order to provide that sense of depth and motion, letting views further be blockbusterized into the amazing universe of the movie.
Wes Ball’s Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes runs for 2 hours and 12 minutes. The film was released in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on August 2, 2022, on Disney+ Hotstar. The film is a continuation of the epic franchise of Planet of the Apes, telling about the plight of generations after the rule of Caesar, when the apes were the dominant species and humans had been reduced to eking out an existence in the shadows.
