Nesterra Transformed Mumbai’s Iconic Ganesh Mandals for a Premium Ganeshotsav Celebration
Nesterra, the premium home furnishings brand from Sutlej Textiles & Industries Ltd., part of the K. K. Birla group, is proud to announce its partnership with two of the most prominent Ganesh Mandals: Chinchpokli Sarvajanik Utsav Mandal and Lalbaugh Cha Raja in Mumbai. This partnership was a testament to Nesterra’s commitment to celebrating Indian traditions through the lens of luxury design, blending art, devotion, and cultural pride in a way never seen before.
The Chinchpokli Sarvajanik Utsav Mandal, established 105 years ago based on Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak’s principles, has long been a key player in Mumbai’s social and cultural traditions. Lalbaugh Cha Raja, also one of Mumbai’s most famous Ganesh Mandals, was established in 1934. Known for its grand celebrations, elaborate decorations, and large idol of Lord Ganesha, it attracted thousands of devotees each year. Nesterra’s design philosophy, inspired by nature’s beauty and diverse cultures, found a harmonious synergy with the spiritual aura of these Mandals. Nesterra’s collaboration went beyond sponsorship. It was about creating a sense of community through the power of design. Exquisite fabrics, crafted with premium materials and a keen eye for detail, were transformed into captivating installations. This unique blend of premium aesthetics and cultural pride told distinct stories of devotion and artistic expression.
Nesterra, renowned for its stylish and exclusive decor, enhanced the Ganeshotsav celebration with its signature touch. Featuring a series of beautifully designed decor installations and traditional decorations, Nesterra sought to create a captivating and immersive environment, allowing consumers to experience the brand. This partnership reinforced Nesterra’s commitment to strengthening ties with local communities, as the brand actively participated in various events and activities organized by the Mandals during the festivities.
On August 31st, during the Aagaman procession of Chinchpoklicha Chintamani, Nesterra’s exquisite fabric was used as a curtain to reveal the idol, creating a memorable experience for thousands of devotees. Nesterra’s signature touch was unveiled on September 7th for Ganeshotsav, showcasing their premium quality and designs with beautiful decorations, including standees, banners, and curtains.
“We were honored to partner with Mumbai’s most beloved Pandals—Lalbaugh Cha Raja and Chintamani Sarvajanik Utsav Mandal this year for Ganesh Utsav. Aligning with our heritage of celebrating Indian traditions, this collaboration allowed us to showcase the transformative power of design,” said Smita Joshi, VP of Home Textiles at Nesterra. “This partnership provided us with a unique platform to showcase our innovative design aesthetic within a culturally rich setting. By blending traditional elements with contemporary design, we have created a truly memorable experience that resonated with the local community and celebrated the spirit of this cherished tradition.”
The Ganesh Utsav, a beloved festival celebrated across India, was a time of joy, devotion, and community spirit. Nesterra invited devotees and design enthusiasts alike to visit the Chintamani Ganpati mandal and witness firsthand how tradition and luxury came together in this groundbreaking collaboration.
