For those who grew up watching Khichdi, here’s a chance to enjoy the Parekh family’s funny moments once more.
‘Khichdi 2: Mission Paanthukistan’ movie is out now!
But, when we saw the trailer, we couldn’t help but wonder: what if the Khichdi family were coworkers in an office? Definitely not in our office, because we are chilling out having a sip of coffee while writing this article and also laughing out loud altogether.
Here are the hilarious scenarios of the Khichdi family as corporate employees, that is making us go ROFL!
1. Tulsidas Parekh AKA Babuji – The CEO.
Babuji would be like the wise boss, always stepping in when his team does something silly. He’s the leader who has to stop himself from getting mad at everyone, but he never backs from saying, “Tu to gadha hai gadha!”
2. Praful Parekh- The teammate who offers a lot of unsolicited inputs.
Sure, Praful is a really nice person, but let’s be honest, he often gives not-so-great advice when he’s trying to help Hansa. He tends to talk a lot without really making a meaningful point. It happens to everyone, but Praful is a classic example of this.
But, one of the best thing about such an employee is, he is always there to help and say, “Mai hoon Naa.”
3. Hansa Parekh- The co-worker who you rarely see doing any work.
We really like Hansa and the questions she asks, but if we picture her as a coworker, things might feel a bit different. Hansa could be the colleague who keeps asking lots of questions during meetings, but those questions might not really move the discussion forward. In fact, they might even slow down the meeting a bit! It’s possible that the interns might have to fix any issues caused by her questions.
Let’s take a moment to appreciate her hard work and who never gets tired of saying, “Mai to thak gayi Bhaisaab!” But moreover she is a gem of employee because she welcomes everyone with a warm heart and keep everyone fed and says, “Hello, How are you, Khana kha ke jana ha.”
Not to forget, she is too offended with the lack of knowledge her CEO owns and we have found her mostly saying, “Babuji ko toh kuchh bhi nahi aata.”
4. Jayshree Parekh- The team leader with ESOPs who would want the company get sold.
Jayshree is a really smart person who gives sensible advice. If she were a corporate employee, she’d probably be the one with a practical view, understanding a lot but only stepping in when it’s really necessary. Even though she was shown gossiping on the phone in the show, we think she’d be the one who knows all the workplace news. She might also be the team leader with company shares who’d push for the company to either go public or be sold!
Well, she is a gossip queen and her phone is her bestfriend. Everything she knows, her mom, her friend, her neighbours and the nation knows. For people like her, the office keeps such a security check.
5. Himanshu Seth- The co-worker who rarely does anything.
Let’s face it, every team has that person who does the least, just the basics. We wonder how they get by at work with such minimal effort. Himanshu, with his carefree attitude, might be fun to hang out with, but if he were a coworker, it could drive us a bit crazy to see him so relaxed. Considering his daydreaming habits, he’d likely be the teammate dreaming of starting his own business and cheering everyone else on to do the same.
The mischievous personality encouraging his colleague to do all the wrongs and says, “Kisi ko pata nahi chalega”
6. Chakki Parekh- The intern who is smarter than the employees themselves.
Not everyone would be lucky enough to have an intern like Chakki. She’d likely be the one fixing Hansa’s mistakes and knowing more about the work they’re doing than Hansa does.
7. Jackkey Parekh- The intern who would also know more than the actual team members.
Jackky Parekh would be a really smart intern to have on your team. His views on the higher-ups in the company might make you think about how things work at the top, as he famously says, ‘Bade log, bade log.’
Khichdi will forever be one of our favourite shows and even a movie franchise. But we’re not too sure how we’d respond if the Parekh family was really our coworkers.
