“Upgrade Alert: Bard Chatbot Rebranded as Gemini with Premium Option”
Google has updated its chatbot Bard and renamed it Gemini, offering a fancier version with extra features. They’ve also launched a new app for Gemini on both Android and iOS phones. Alongside, they’ve introduced Gemini Ultra 1.0, which is their most advanced language model yet.
Gemini will now be available in over 150 countries in English. If you want more fancy stuff, there’s Gemini Advanced, but it comes with a price tag of $19.99 per month as part of Google One’s AI Premium Plan. You get a free trial for two months, though.
Google says Gemini can understand 40 languages and is really good at things like figuring things out, following instructions, coding, and helping you get creative. They say it’s like having your own personal tutor.
Gemini isn’t just for when you’re sitting at your computer. You can use it on the go, too. You can type, talk, or even send pictures for help. For example, if you have a flat tire, you can snap a pic and ask Gemini what to do.
Accessing Gemini is easy. You can use the new app on Android and iOS, or just ask Google Assistant. They’ve made it so you can use Gemini in different ways, like tapping the power button or swiping corners on your phone.
Google’s CEO, Sundar Pichai, says they’ve been investing in AI for a long time to make their products better. He says AI is really important for improving search and other services like Google Cloud, Workspace, and Google One subscriptions. They’re also planning to add another feature called Duet AI to Gemini soon.
In short, Google’s upgraded their chatbot to Gemini, offering a fancier version with more languages and cool features. It’s now easier to use on your phone, and they’re planning to make it even better with more AI features in the future.
