Meta has announced to have built a new AI model called Movie Gen to produce video and audio clips that appear real in response to prompts. Meta further said it would be a competition to leading AI startups like OpenAI abd others as well. Meta provided samples of the creations of Movie Gen-people painting on a canvas. by using their oroginal pictures and videos of animals surfing and swimming. Besides sound effects and background music also can be done by Movie Gen.
Meta had previously pointed out on its blog that the edit tool can be used with the existing videos where Meta demonstrated the man who is running in the desert alone and how pom poms could be added to his hands through edit tool. Movies Genved can produce the video for up to 16 seconds and audio tracks up to 45 seconds.
