
Success at Maddys 2024: The Hindu Group Shines with Multiple Wins
The Hindu Group’s campaigns and special initiatives bagged 8 awards at the recently held Maddys Awards organised by the Advertising Club Madras. A print communication created for Wildlife Conservation Day as part of The Hindu Care. Community. Conversation initiative won gold in the print-copywriting category. Apart from this, The Hindu’s ‘Made of Chennai’, a city-centric brand campaign which celebrates Chennai and its people, picked up six awards across different categories. Cadbury Iniya Kondattam, a Mondelez India campaign in association with The Hindu Group, won the silver award for digital campaigns – influencer marketing. Celluloids Films, which made the video of the ‘Made of Chennai’ song for The Hindu, won silver in media and entertainment – digital category. Suresh Balakrishna said, “These accolades recognize our commitment towards creating impactful, meaningful campaigns that engage audiences and spark meaningful conversations.”. Apart from the felicitation of The Hindu, Vermillion Communications was declared ‘Creative Agency of the Year’, and Digitally Inspired Media walked away with the ‘Digital Agency of the Year’. Amazon Seller Services was declared as the ‘Media Agency/Client of the Year’, while Swiggy emerged as the ‘Advertiser of the Year’. Maddys 2024 had received a total of 1,015 entries from over 10 states. Participating in the awards were 116 agencies and clients. There were also 27 jurors on board—international, national, and regional—who helped select the winners.
