There’s some new, interesting initiative that Zomato is going to come up with, and the announcement has been made by the company’s founder, Deepinder Goyal, through his LinkedIn profile. The name, ‘District by Zomato,’ was revealed with a comment saying, “Coming soon.”
LinkedIn users are now in deep speculation about what this venture would be about.
Some users believe Zomato probably wants to tap into the restaurant, pub, and café spaces. A few believe it could be a feature to design the gastronomic experience selling regional delicacies across India. Some others said that it could have something to do with the gaming feature.
There were also some comments that alluded to ‘District by Zomato,’ possibly being a premium and exclusive experience in dining, and another hint came up by way of someone’s deduction that the platform might have virtual reality integrated within it.
Other than these far-fetched guesses, there were some users who pointed out that the logo of the new venture looks a lot like that of the quick commerce platform Zepto, apparently only on account of featuring blue, like in Zepto’s branding.
Up until now, the details of Zomato’s latest venture ‘District by’ are pretty mysterious.
