Maruti Suzuki Embraces Diversity with Potential Female Brand Endorsers
In a notable departure from tradition, Maruti Suzuki India, a leading player in the automobile industry, announces its openness to consider female brand endorsers. This shift in strategy reflects the evolving landscape of the industry and the company’s commitment to embracing diversity.
Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Officer of Marketing and Sales at Maruti Suzuki India, highlights the changing dynamics within the sector. He notes a significant transformation in consumer behavior, with an increasing number of women contributing to the brand’s success. Maruti Suzuki Arena, for instance, has witnessed a substantial increase in sales to female buyers, underscoring the importance of catering to this demographic.
Recognizing the pivotal role of trust in women’s purchasing decisions, Maruti Suzuki endeavors to further build trust among female consumers. To this end, the company has launched a new digital campaign titled Arena Journeys, in collaboration with Mumbai-based media company Terribly Tiny Tales (TTT). This campaign aims to spotlight women and their experiences with cars, emphasizing themes of freedom, independence, and mobility.
The initiative, featuring a series of short films directed by prominent female filmmakers, seeks to resonate with women on a personal level, rather than focusing solely on sales. Scheduled for release on the TTT YouTube channel, these films will explore the transformative role of cars in women’s lives, aligning with Maruti Suzuki’s philosophy of spreading the joy of mobility.
Moreover, the campaign is an extension of Maruti Suzuki Arena’s overarching theme, “Find Your Match,” which celebrates the diverse portfolio of models offered by the brand. Beyond functionality, the concept embodies the evolving relationship between individuals and their vehicles, emphasizing personal values and lifestyle choices.
With this strategic shift towards inclusivity and empowerment, Maruti Suzuki reaffirms its commitment to meeting the diverse needs of its customers while reflecting the changing societal landscape.
