Mumbai: Compared to the first few days of the Euro 2020 competition, Sony LIV saw a 50% rise in users, a 64% increase in total views, and a 350% increase in live views during the 17th edition of UEFA EURO 2024.
With a staggering 560% increase in key users in the 25–44 age bracket, the game is in high demand throughout India. The markets of West Bengal, Maharashtra, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Delhi lead the way in terms of game consumption, making up approximately 61.5% of the total user base for Sony LIV.
In the run-up to the games, Sony LIV unveiled a number of audiovisual innovations, which contributed to the opening match weekend’s record-breaking impact. “Star Cams,” “Dugout Cams,” multilingual commentary, and other features indicate that the new games have already surpassed the prior iteration. Furthermore, the viewership of digitally savvy Connected TV has increased by 164%.
