Kroll, a global advisory firm specializing in risk and financial services, unveiled its latest Celebrity Brand Valuation Study titled “Brands, Business, Bollywood” today. This annual study ranks India’s leading celebrity brands based on their endorsements and social media impact.
In 2023, the combined brand value of India’s top 25 celebrities surged to $1.9 billion, marking an impressive 18% increase from the previous year. Virat Kohli reclaimed the top spot with a brand value of $227.9 million, edging out Ranveer Singh, who slipped to second place with $203.1 million. Shah Rukh Khan secured third position with a brand value of $120.7 million, propelled by his success in three blockbuster films in 2023, marking a significant resurgence in India’s celebrity endorsement landscape since 2020.
Akshay Kumar moved to fourth place with a brand value of $111.7 million, while Alia Bhatt climbed to fifth place with $101.1 million. Noteworthy movements included Kiara Advani’s rise from 16th to 12th place in brand value rankings and Katrina Kaif’s return to the list of India’s top celebrity brands after a five-year absence. This report underscores the evolving dynamics of celebrity endorsements and their impact on brand values in India’s entertainment industry.
