Anime, an escape from negativity for the one in his/her adolescence or twenties. A portrayal of one’s desired freedom from the social laws or a representation of his imprisoned mind held under the weight of expectations, responsibilities, and roles one must fulfill.
Amidst the 21st century, 2013 to be exact an anime was introduced namely ‘Shingeki no Kyojin’(‘Attack on Titan’) which at later stages came out to be one of the most famous (known) anime, while on the other hand, Fullmetal Alchemist(TV) became the most watched anime(Anime News Network), particularly because of its intriguing world, storytelling and lovely bond shared between 2 brothers where each was ready to sacrifice themselves for their counterparts. Now talking about the crowd being divided for anime with their different opinions in mind, it would be a shame not to cover the most anticipated debate on which to watch first or which is better ‘Naruto’ or ‘One Piece’ where ‘Naruto’ is able to set its base of emotions such as sadness, pain, suffering, innocence, hatred, etc. right from the beginning of its first episode, whereas/on the other hand ‘One Piece’ displays as start of a new journey with its main character Monkey D. Luffy where how he, his crew and us The audience as a part of his crew grew together throughout the adventurous journey.
When the point comes to ‘Which one should I pick first?’ then it depends upon the person’s characteristics. If one wants to be involved in the experience right from the start, then the pick should be ‘Naruto’. If one has the patience to stay for a while and give the anime its time to shine, then the clear pick would be ‘One Piece’.
While some say age is just a number, sometimes it acts as a major deciding factor for an anime’s stand, with maturity and a better grip on understanding emotions, one can accurately judge and compare it with the other one without being biased. With a recent survey of CBR anime is most watched by Gen Z with a whooping 42% of them being involved in viewing anime weekly.
