Afcons Infrastructure, a subsidiary of the Shapoorji Pallonji Group, has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (MPMRCL) for the construction package BH-05 of the Bhopal Metro Rail Project, which is valued at ₹1,006.74 crore and is to be executed in 36 months under EPC mode.
Scope of work includes part design and construction of an elevated viaduct and 13 elevated metro stations along the Blue Line, which would connect Bhadbhada Chauraha to Ratnagiri Tiraha. Elevated Passenger interchange Metro Rail Station is excluded from the package; however, access to the depot between designated chainages is covered. This is an important step toward moving the cause of urban mobility forward in Bhopal.
