He said this association will benefit from NGE’s expertise in the theatrical business and Banijay’s vast experience with the television and streaming media platforms. “We thought that we both needed to come together to unlock a fresh new look at storytelling. We will be delivering content across genres, across screens, and across boundaries,” he said.
Sources close to the partnership have told that it has earmarked over Rs 100 crore for investments in content.
We haven’t decided on the number of projects, but we will work on developing content that reflects audience preferences, Deepak Dhar, CEO of Banijay Asia said. Dhar added that the platform of release – cinemas or OTT – will depend on the concept of each project.
This is the second big-ticket collaboration for 2024 that Banijay has undertaken after its association with Ravi Shastri’s Sporting Beyond to develop non-fiction cricket content and live event IPs.
