Criminal Justice 4’s Legal Notice Promo Goes Viral
Before the fourth season of Criminal Justice came out, Applause Entertainment followed a unique publicity campaign that has left everyone in awe. They released a summons as a legal notice, addressed to the public. Posting on social media, their notice stated, “You are hereby summoned to be present for a matter of utmost importance, titled ‘Criminal Justice: A Family Matter’. Date of Hearing: 29th May. Venue: JioHotstar.”
It posted, “Not attending may mean missing vital evidence, big plot twists, and Madhav Mishra in the flesh. Issued in public interest. Justice waits. The court of streaming justice, Applause.”

Not only did this notice measure the attention of the audience for its originality, but it also turned humorous and effective. Other than the notice, Applause Entertainment’s caption stated, “This legal notice requires your attendance tomorrow on @Jiohotstar. Failing to attend may lead to severe FOMO!????
This innovative promotional approach went viral for its originality, with most users applauding the tactic. This promotion by Applause Entertainment demonstrated that in the OTT space, stories and narratives can not just be riveting on-screen but can also draw attention off-screen.
Pankaj Tripathi will return to the screens in the fourth season as the favourite character Madhav Mishra. He will be found playing a half-naked man on the screen, with Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub, Surveen Chawla, Khushboo Atre, and Asha Negi. Directed by Roshan Sippy and produced by Sameer Nair, the teaser and trailer of the series is promising, and the series is eager to give viewers an experience of a rollercoaster of heavy drama and emotions. Made by Applause Entertainment in partnership with BBC Studios India and directed by Rohan Sippy, Criminal Justice season 4 will stream from 29th May onwards, only on JioHotstar.
