Hindustan Unilever Limited announced on Tuesday that it has signed an agreement to sell its Pureit business in India to A.O. Smith Corporation, the global leader in water technology solutions.
HUL CEO & Managing Director, Rohit Jawa said, “the move is aligned with our strategic intent of ‘focusing sharply on the core’. Pureit today meets the valuable water purification needs of millions of loyal consumers, and under the ownership of A.O. Smith, I am quite sure it will thrive even more”.
