Indore, also known as the food capital of India, earned international recognition recently when Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his girlfriend Lauren Sanchez went on a culinary spree for Indore-inspired flavors at celebrity chef Vikas Khanna’s Bungalow restaurant in New York City.
Among the attractions was the Dahi Kebab, a tribute to Indore’s celebrated street food, which left such an indelible print on the couple.
The Dahi Kebab, one of the most famous from Indore’s food street, featured in a diverse menu, with dishes from every part of India. Social media was where Vikas Khanna confessed that he was inspired by the legendary Dahi Tikki of Sarafa Bazaar in Indore for the dish.
