PM Modi arrives in Raipur to attend 60th All India DGP–IGP Conference.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Chhattisgarh’s Raipur on Friday evening to attend the 60th All India Conference of Directors General and Inspectors General of Police. This prestigious three-day conference is being held in the state for the first time at the IIM Raipur.
Modi arrived at Swami Vivekananda Airport in a special aircraft around 7:40 pm and will attend the conference sessions scheduled for November 29 and 30, officials said. His arrival is seen as a significant moment in the state with top police leadership across the country converging to deliberate on national security, policing strategies, and internal security challenges.
The Prime Minister was received with full protocol upon his arrival by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Governor Ramen Deka, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, besides several public representatives and senior officials. Amit Shah had reached Raipur a day in advance to review preparations and participate in the conference.
Security arrangements have been heightened in Nava Raipur and its surrounding areas as it hosts the DGP–IGP Conference for the first time. Authorities have deployed more than 2,000 police personnel to lay down a multi-layered security grid for ensuring the safety and smooth conduct of this high-profile event.
The conference is expected to witness detailed discussions on strengthening of police forces, national security priorities, and technological advancements in policing, making it a key platform for shaping the future of India’s internal security framework.
