Sometimes, the things we do out of pure curiosity end up shaping our identity, our future, and our entire career. Some stories don’t begin with a grand plan they begin with a girl experimenting, creating, learning, and unknowingly building the foundation of a brand that is today recognised as one of the best nail and lash studios in town.
What started as a hobby soon turned into a solution the market didn’t know it needed. Vishakha realised that gel polish could save people so much time lasting for a month, staying glossy, and helping everyone from nail biters to those who struggle to grow their nails feel confident. Add to that a wide range of colours, designs, and the magic of Korean facials that genuinely fix skin concerns, and she had built something far more meaningful than just “nail art.” She had created an experience.
Her journey moved from a small setup at home to opening her first studio at Marine Drive 3.5 years ago a studio that has now grown into a full Korean salon and academy. But the path wasn’t easy. She faced unpunctual clients, people who didn’t respect the work of an artist, and a general lack of professionalism. Yet she learned, adapted, and continued. What helped her stand out was her international certification from Dubai, her use of top-quality products, and the fact that she attends to her clients herself. That personal touch became her signature.
Her audience naturally gravitated toward her people who love luxury and grooming, and brides who want the best for their special moments. Their support shaped her brand, and moments like a client from Delhi telling her she’s known as the best nail and lash artist and educator in town made every struggle feel worth it.
For Vishakha, being a female founder carries a deeper meaning. Coming from a conservative Sindhi family where her father believed she didn’t need to work, she always felt the urge to create her own identity. She knew she was born artistic and wanted her own name, her own achievement and she built it with grace, hard work, and quiet determination.
Over time, her clients began to see that nails and lashes weren’t just cosmetic services they were self-care rituals, little moments of pampering and “me time.” And with every passing day, she continues to learn, improve, and evolve. This year, she introduced extensions, and in the next few years, she dreams of opening another luxury nail and Korean services salon.
Her advice to women entrepreneurs?
Don’t give up. Maybe later, maybe sooner but success will find you if you keep going.
