When Life challenges You… It demands your ‘Courage’— Just Ask Rimjhim
Sometimes life has a funny way of pushing you exactly where you’re meant to be, if you are courageous enough to take up the challenge. That’s what worked for Rimjhim. After 14 years in Strategic HR roles, juggling leaders, teams, culture, deadlines, and everyone else’s problems, she suddenly realized something huge: Her time didn’t belong to her anymore! It wasn’t burnout alone…it was a deeper nudge telling her – she was meant for something more. She wanted to closely guide people, not just manage them. So, she dared to step out of her corporate life, reimagined her purpose, rediscovered the joy of her creativity and self-expression, learnt the art and science of coaching, and finally embraced the voice that had been whispering to her for years. That’s how she became a Life Transition & Authenticity Coach in Mumbai, founded her brand Bay of Balance and does the work that actually lights her up!
When asked what ‘Authenticity’ means to her; shying away from strict definitions, she says,” it’s simply the joy of finding your real voice, and the courage to actually use it.” Today, she helps clients discover their own authentic voice. She strongly believes, ‘Authenticity’ will be your biggest advantage in 2025 and the world beyond… for those who dare to discover it.
In her experience, corporate professionals have forgotten the importance of setting healthy boundaries and the peace it brings to our daily lives. There is an unnecessary fear of hierarchy, fear of speaking up for oneself, or simply saying, “Hey, I need a break!” So, burnout has become normal, even though it shouldn’t be! And that’s one of the big things she helps people remember and unlearn.
When asked for a solution on another common issue – the generational mismatch between Gen Z vs Millennials at work, she responded with a simple solution: Better open conversations across the hierarchy.
There is a common pattern she has noticed among corporate folks: we don’t listen to our own bodies anymore. We glorify doing more even when we’re exhausted. Self-doubt, overthinking, procrastination, fear of saying ‘no’ – have all become common phenomena. That’s where her AAA Methodology comes in: helping clients align their Ambition, Authenticity and Accountability. By realigning their priorities, people start reclaiming their own life and what matters to them. Once her clients start filtering their decisions through this lens, it’s a game changer that helps them reclaim precious lost hours from the clock of their current life.
Each person’s ‘Balance Journey’ is carefully curated by Rimjhim at Bay of Balance, where she coaches them for 8 to 12 weeks minimum. These Coaching journeys empower people to take charge, rewrite their limiting beliefs and take realistic actions towards their ‘Dream Goals’, they’ve postponed for years. She shares a simple life recipe – Finding courage to invest in yourself for a few weeks to meet your better version, is worth way more than spending years in agony of inaction & unfulfilled goals.
One of her favorite wins as a Life Coach, was a female IT professional who was a new mom, burnt out, lost visibility at work, and completely stretched thin for any personal time. With the help of coaching, she made small, aligned changes and reclaimed 8 hours every week. This improved her presence at home and for her baby, created greater visibility at work, and best of all – She returned to her long-lost dance classes. That’s the kind of balance, Rimjhim loves helping people restore in life.
If there’s one limiting belief Rimjhim wishes everyone would let go of – it’s the fear of the Unknown. Nobody has Life figured out. She says – “the answer lies in the attempts that we make and chances that we take!”
If you are someone who is “feeling stuck” right now, Rimjhim’s advice is unexpectedly refreshing: Stop! Take 30 minutes off. Take deep breaths for a minute. Pause. Then say “No” to one thing today. Just ONE.
You’ll be surprised how powerful choosing ‘Yourself’ can feel in that moment.
Rimjhim’s journey is proof that when life wants you to pivot, it will keep nudging signs at you, until you gather the courage to listen. She listened, learnt, leaped for action and now helps others do the same, faster.
