Zepto, India’s fastest-growing quick commerce platform, turned three recently with a host of modalities and activities that made it a moment to cherish, resonating with its commitment to customers, partners, and employees. Zepto kicked off the celebration with a brand film titled ‘Mujhe Kya Milega’ last Monday, a question many Indians often ask.
Quirky, relatable ideation of a film where this question is carried forward by a man in various situations. Now comes the twist when he asks the same question to a Zepto delivery partner and is thrilled to know that as part of its birthday celebration, Zepto is giving a free return gift to its customers. Conceptualised in-house, this showcases very well Zepto’s feel of giving back to its customers.
Reward First Customers and Longest Serving Delivery Partners
Zepto’s co-founders and CEO, Aadit Palicha, and Kaivalya Vohra hosted a birthday celebration at their offices in Mumbai and Bangalore. The first customers and the longest-serving delivery partners are invited for an exclusive meet-and-greet to commemorate relations developed with Zepto in the past three years. This pointed out that such long-term relations were important for Zepto, as well as the role of these early believers and committed partners.
Customer Giveaways and Social Media Buzz
As part of the ‘Mujhe Kya Milega’ celebration, Zepto delivered over 8 lakh return gifts to customers who place orders on July 13-14. This indeed received high octane excitement and happiness from the customers. To add more flavors to this celebration, Third Wave Coffee joined in to celebrate by having on board a special Zepto birthday deal for all patrons, perfectly dovetailing our third anniversary. Apart from this, more than 100+ brands—Coca-Cola India, Kit Kat India, Nivea India, to name a few—came together to celebrate by writing “Happy Birthday” on their social media sites to Zepto, generating buzz and showing support.a
Music and Contests—Engaging Customers
Zepto also created a special ‘party playlist’ on Spotify, which garnered over 2,500 saves on the music app, while Zepto’s in-app story asking customers to guess ‘what’s in the box?’ received over 40,000 responses. In another example, to enhance customer engagement, Ariel ran a contest on the Zepto app where consumers could get a chance to win an iPhone 15. The lucky winners of this contest were Akash Sethiya, Mumbai; Jisha Pradeesh Nair, Mumbai; and Rohit Kumar, Bangalore.
On its birthday, over 200 Zepto team members, including the leadership, hit the roads to deliver orders themselves. The initiative was their way to connect with customers and thank them for their continued support. Zepto’s third birthday celebrations were not just about cutting a cake but about expressing gratitude to everyone who has been part of its journey.
