Who are we ? A generation lost in the digitalization starting from our education to even our lives, we have consumed the screens and the content media sells. Our lives aren’t our lives anymore, we are puppets of the silhouettes we’ve been viewing on blue screens.
We have all been through a tough period, a pandemic, not to forget. Schools were shuts, roads were grey and the world was silenced leading to damage of each and everything and each and everyone changing the set traditional patterns and transforming to the digital age and it isn’t even our fault completely, it’s an addiction, a mere one which time left for us for self sabotage, if we realise. But, now that the generation has realised about the unwanted addiction why not highlight the importance of digital detox ?
Digital detox is the need of the hour for this digital age, but, digitalisation has never been a bane but how we have been using it has put it in the category of bane humans have given to themselves. Silence was adored between people defining their relationship and how they can sit together in silence with nothing to say yet enjoying each others company but the true essence of silence we always embraced has now changed after the introduction of mobile phones. People now still sit together in silence but use their mobile phones rather not pay attention to each other, generally now a days.
We can not abandon digitals in the name of digital detox all of a sudden, but, can rightly change the way we look at it and use it. Cutting down the excessive and unnecessary use of the digitals could be the first and major step of digital detox and with the time we’ve borrowed from our daily screen time spend it with greens and blues we’ve been blessed with. Nature rejuvenates soul and replacing all the worldy desires with peace one truly craves for in life.
