Katrina Kaif Turns 41: Celebrating Her Journey from Boom to Iconic Star
Often described as one of the most beautiful and scintillating actresses in contemporary Hindi Cinema, Katrina Kaif, born Katrina Turquotte on 16 July 1983, turned 41 today. Much like several other British ladies who have worked in Hindi language films, she was able to cut a distinct niche for herself. In the intermittently tenty years she spent in this career, she got her ability to charm audiences with screen presence, more so through the nimble feet that made her dancing a treat to watch.
Katrina Kaif co-produced her film debut in 2003 with the heist film “Boom,” which eventually flopped. After that, she made a streak of commercially successful films, including “Dhoom 3,” “Bharat,” “Ek Tha Tiger,” and “Zindagi Na Milegi Doobara.” On apologetic notes, she continued to be one of the most integral persons in the industry for the strength of presence, for which actually she is known.
She has appeared in many Top 10 lists of famous and powerful personalities of India; she has done endorsements of many brands. As per the Brand Value Report 2023 of a Celeb, the Kroll brand value was at $27.1 million. It also included that her company was one of the most valued celebrity brands in the country.
She has also left her impact as an entrepreneur by taking the front lead with her make-up brand, Kay Beauty, which is known for its inclusivity. 2019 has been the year of coming of age for Brand Kay Beauty. It takes credit to innovate and carry the torch of inclusivity through the range of products it delivers. Today, the company’s annual sales turnover is more than Rs. 100 crores.
In 2009, Katrina became the first Indian actress to get a Barbie doll modelled on her by Mattel and thus got the tag of Bollywood’s Barbie. She is also tagged as one of the favourite faces of brands.
