Dr. Shilpee’s BellyFit actually began long before it had a name. It started with Dr. Shilpee Lunia listening to dozens of mothers describe the same silent struggles weak core, back pain, pelvic issues, exhaustion, and that constant feeling of “something isn’t right,” even after months of delivery. As a Women’s Health Physiotherapist, she knew these women weren’t imagining things. Their bodies genuinely needed help, but the world around them didn’t recognise postnatal recovery as an actual need. धीरे-धीरे यह बात उनके मन में घर करती गई कि अगर कोई यह बदलाव ला सकता है, तो वह खुद ही हैं.
Most fitness options barely understood what a new mother’s body goes through. Postnatal problems like Diastasis Recti, pelvic floor weakness or hormonal imbalance were treated as side notes, not priorities. इस खालीपन ने BellyFit को जन्म दिया एक ऐसा space जहाँ healing, strength और science तीनों साथ चलें.
शुरुआत आसान नहीं थी. सबसे पहले तो women को समझाना पड़ा कि “डिलीवरी के बाद सिर्फ़ आराम” ही solution नहीं है. Myths तोड़ने पड़े. Workshops लिए. सोशल मीडिया पर छोटे-छोटे videos डाले. धीरे-धीरे लोग समझने लगे कि guided पोस्टनैटल fitness कोई luxury नहीं बल्कि जरूरत है.
आज BellyFit की पहचान बड़ी साफ है scientific, safe, warm. यहाँ कोई competition, pressure या “bounce back” वाली बात नहीं होती. यहाँ mothers को उनके pace पर heal किया जाता है. 1000 से ज्यादा women की recovery, 200+ Diastasis closures और doctors का भरोसा इस journey को और meaningful बनाते हैं.
Being a woman खुद एक strength है यहाँ. Dr. Shilpee जानती हैं कि motherhood कैसी लगती है इसलिए BellyFit में empathy सबसे बड़ी भाषा है.
आगे का vision बड़ा है: online trainings, multiple centres, और women’s health को एक movement बनाना.
