For Dhanshree Purohit, that separation never made sense.
As the founder of Hotel Meeravill, she has built her career around creating not just beautiful spaces, but memorable experiences. Blending her background in architecture with hospitality, she believes a hotel should be designed as much for emotion as it is for aesthetics.
Her work begins where most hospitality stops—at aesthetics.
The Problem Was Never Just Interior Design
The challenge wasn’t making a hotel look beautiful.
It was making people feel something the moment they walked in.
For years, hospitality has treated design and experience as separate departments, one handled by architects, the other left to service staff. Spaces looked impressive but often felt hollow. Guests admired the interiors and forgot them by the next stay.
Dhanshree chose not to accept that separation.
Instead of designing a building and handing over the experience to someone else, she built both together, from the Victorian-inspired interiors to the smallest guest interaction.
Building a Hotel by Becoming Someone New
There was no smooth transition from one identity to another.
Designing a hotel and running one are entirely different disciplines.
She had to move from architect to operator, learning guest expectations, building a team, and earning trust in an industry she hadn’t worked in before.
Her growth came through consistency, not comparison.
Rather than competing with established names, she focused on creating something distinct—quality, genuine hospitality, and attention to detail—treating every challenge as material to learn from rather than a setback to recover from.
Her hotel didn’t succeed by imitating others.
It succeeded by becoming unmistakably itself.
Finding the Space Between Service and Belonging
Among the guests who’ve walked through Hotel Meeravill, one pattern keeps showing up.
People don’t just return for the food.

That distinction shaped everything Dhanshree built.
She focuses on relationships, not just transactions—guests celebrating milestones on-site, families returning year after year, recommendations passed along without being asked for.

Stepping from architecture into hospitality, and running a business daily instead of designing it once, can feel like an isolating shift.
For Dhanshree, being part of The Female Founders (TFF) brought a community of women who uplift and motivate one another through exactly that kind of uncertainty.
She found reassurance in hearing other founders’ stories, reminders that every successful business is built on perseverance, not perfection.
Communities like TFF matter because they expand more than a network—they expand ambition.
Sometimes what pushes a founder forward isn’t advice.
It’s watching other women keep dreaming bigger, and deciding to do the same.
The Mauve Take
Hospitality has long been measured in stars, amenities, and menus, as if feeling were a byproduct rather than the actual point.
The problem with that measure is it misses what guests actually remember.
Dhanshree Purohit is challenging that belief.
Not through scale or spectacle, but through intentional design, consistency, and a simple principle: the goal was never to impress people, it was to make them feel welcomed and valued.
A beautiful space was never the finish line.
