For the Founder of Wedding Relay, the future of wedding memories isn’t about waiting months for a film—it’s about reliving every emotion while it’s still unfolding.

Weddings have always been about preserving memories. Yet in an age where moments are shared instantly, the tradition of waiting months for edited photographs and cinematic wedding films began to feel increasingly out of sync with how people experience celebrations today. For Sukriti Grover, Founder of Wedding Relay, that disconnect became the inspiration for building a new category altogether. Today, her company specialises in real-time wedding content creation, capturing authentic moments designed for the digital generation without compromising emotion or storytelling. At The Founder’s Edit, Sukriti shares insights on building India’s new-age wedding content movement, creating deeply personal experiences, and why authenticity will always outlast perfection.
Unlike many businesses that begin with market research, Wedding Relay started with a personal experience.
During her brother’s wedding in 2021, Grover found herself doing what came naturally as a content creator—filming reels with friends and family throughout the celebrations. While enjoying the process, one thought stayed with her.
When her own wedding came someday, she wanted someone dedicated solely to capturing those candid, behind-the-scenes moments.
That simple idea led to a much larger realisation.
There was no dedicated role focused on creating instant, aesthetically curated wedding content specifically for social media. Curious about the opportunity, Grover began speaking with people across the industry and researching emerging trends. By late 2022 and early 2023, she noticed the first signs of “wedding content creators” beginning to appear. Recognising the potential early, she officially launched Wedding Relay in 2024.
Building the company required a leap of faith.
Grover left her full-time career as a videographer, moved back from Mumbai to Delhi and chose to dedicate herself entirely to building the brand. Along the way, she stepped away from freelance projects and other professional opportunities to focus completely on growing Wedding Relay.
One misconception about the industry, however, remains common.
People often assume wedding content creators are simply another version of traditional videographers.
Grover sees the distinction differently.
While conventional wedding films and photography preserve memories over the long term, Wedding Relay focuses on allowing couples to experience those memories immediately. Instead of waiting weeks or months for edited deliverables, clients receive beautifully crafted content almost instantly, allowing them to relive and share their celebrations while the emotions are still fresh.
The company’s foundation also emerged from identifying a clear gap within the wedding industry.
Owning an expensive smartphone doesn’t automatically translate into creating compelling visual stories. While guests often capture countless moments during celebrations, very little of that content carries the aesthetic consistency, creativity or storytelling couples hope to preserve.
Wedding Relay exists to bridge that gap.
That original philosophy continues to shape every project the company undertakes today.
Rather than taking on multiple weddings simultaneously, the team intentionally focuses on one celebration at a time, ensuring every couple receives complete creative attention. Whether recreating saved Instagram reels, Pinterest inspiration boards or entirely original concepts, the objective remains consistent: transforming each couple’s personal vision into content that feels both authentic and unforgettable.
In an increasingly competitive market, Grover believes the company’s greatest differentiator extends beyond content itself.
Quality matters.
But so does experience.
Every interaction is designed to feel deeply personal, allowing couples to enjoy the process as much as the final outcome. Wedding Relay isn’t simply documenting weddings—it is becoming part of them.
Growth, however, has never meant sacrificing individuality.
While operational systems continue to evolve, creativity remains intentionally bespoke. Planning, communication and content delivery have become more efficient, but every wedding continues to reflect the unique personalities, emotions and stories of the people at its centre.
Scalability, Grover believes, should simplify operations—not standardise creativity.
The company also defines its audience through mindset rather than demographics.
Its clients are couples who value genuine storytelling over staged perfection. They appreciate candid moments, emotionally driven narratives and beautifully curated memories that can be experienced and shared in real time. They are digitally aware, experience-led and believe their wedding deserves to be remembered exactly as it felt.
Listening closely to those couples has fundamentally shaped Wedding Relay’s evolution.
One insight emerged repeatedly.
Clients no longer wanted to wait weeks for beautifully edited memories. They wanted high-quality content they could revisit, share and celebrate while the festivities were still unfolding.
That feedback strengthened the company’s commitment to rapid turnaround times without compromising creative quality—a philosophy that now sits at the heart of the Wedding Relay experience.
Community, too, extends well beyond social media.
While platforms such as Instagram help couples discover the brand, Grover believes genuine loyalty is built through relationships. Wedding Relay continues celebrating clients long after the wedding day, following their journeys, sharing milestones and remaining connected beyond a single event.
Most importantly, the company’s strongest source of growth isn’t advertising.
It’s referrals.
Each recommendation from one couple to another represents the trust that Wedding Relay has earned through both its work and the experience surrounding it.
Looking ahead, Grover believes technology will continue transforming wedding storytelling.
Artificial intelligence will accelerate editing workflows, streamline production and improve creative efficiency. Yet despite technological progress, she expects one trend to become even stronger: authenticity.
Couples increasingly value genuine emotions over highly polished perfection, choosing candid memories that feel honest and immediate rather than overly curated. At the same time, evolving conversations around privacy and responsible content sharing will become increasingly important across the industry.
Although business success is often measured through revenue, Grover values something else more deeply.
The strongest indicator of Wedding Relay’s health is the number of referrals the company receives.
Weddings are intensely personal occasions, and every recommendation reflects a level of trust that extends far beyond the quality of content alone. When clients confidently introduce the brand to friends and family, they validate not only the creative work but the entire experience surrounding it.
As Wedding Relay has grown, Grover’s own role has naturally evolved.
Where she once managed every operational detail herself, she now focuses increasingly on strategy, team development and protecting the creative vision of the brand. Yet despite that evolution, she remains personally involved with every wedding—getting to know each couple, connecting with their families and ensuring every celebration receives the same attention that inspired the company from the beginning.
Empathy, collaboration and leading by example have become the leadership qualities she values most.
Reflecting on her entrepreneurial journey, one lesson stands above the rest.
Clear communication is every bit as important as flawless execution.
In an industry built around once-in-a-lifetime moments, even the smallest misunderstandings can leave lasting impressions. That experience reinforced the importance of proactive conversations, meticulous planning and never assuming expectations are automatically understood.
For Grover, every wedding tells a different story.
The responsibility isn’t simply capturing it beautifully.
It’s making sure the couple gets to experience it while they’re still living it.
And in an era where memories are created and shared in real time, Wedding Relay is quietly redefining how love stories are remembered.
