Bulgari Hosts “A Roman Holi”: A Vibrant Celebration of Indian Culture and Coloured Gemstones
Bulgari, the esteemed Roman High Jeweller renowned for its mastery of coloured gemstones, unveiled a dazzling celebration of Indian culture with “A Roman Holi” gala event. Held at Antilia in Mumbai and co-hosted with Isha M. Ambani, Director of Reliance Industries Limited, the evening paid homage to Bulgari’s profound affinity for India and its rich cultural heritage.
At this exclusive affair, Bulgari showcased nine exquisite necklaces from its Heritage Collection, each adorned with a different gem inspired by the Navaratna, a talisman associated with Indian astrology. These masterpieces, featuring rubies, sapphires, emeralds, amethysts, pearls, diamonds, citrines, and peridots, are exceptional creations from the 1980s, embodying Italian craftsmanship and a bold tribute to colours.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Bulgari’s global ambassador, graced the event, expressing her excitement about celebrating Holi with Bulgari in a fusion of Indian and Italian traditions. She emphasized Bulgari’s commitment to diversity and cultural heritage, which resonates deeply with her.
The evening unfolded with immersive experiences blending the art of colour with the brilliance of precious stones. Guests were treated to a mesmerizing live performance by Jasleen Royal, setting a vibrant mood for the occasion. Bulgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin and Jewellery Creative Director Lucia Silvestri immersed themselves in the magical atmosphere, joined by Ayushmann Khurrana, a friend of the Maison, who previously unveiled the B.zerol Kada Bracelet.
Jean-Christophe Babin commented on the profound relationship India shares with jewellery, noting its significance as a form of expression connecting the past, present, and future. He expressed Bulgari’s honor in celebrating this symbolic moment for India, showcasing its heritage collection of coloured gemstones in the aura of Holi.
