Top Brands in YouGov Recommend Rankings 2024 Revealed

Panasonic showed the largest gain to emerge as the most improved brand. Tanishq has emerged at top of the YouGov Recommend Rankings 2024 in India, with a Recommend score of 90.2.

YouGov BrandIndex’s positive Recommend score measures the percentage of a brand’s customers who would recommend it to a friend or colleague.

Amazon came second with 87.5 points, while Emirates Airlines was third with 85.2.

Malabar Gold & Diamonds was fourth with 84.7 points, while Google Pay was fifth with 84.5. MakeMyTrip was sixth at 84.1, followed by Amul and Netflix at seventh and eighth places with scores of 83.6 and 83.5, respectively.

The top ten is completed by Taj Hotels & Palaces and Kalyan Jewellers, with scores of 83.0 and 82.7 respectively.

YouGov data also reveals the ten most improved brands over the past year. Panasonic showed the largest improvement in the past 12 months – a score change of +10.8 – which was very closely followed by Agoda with an improvement of +10.6.

Jio Cinema ranks as the third improver, with a change in score of +8.3, followed by Paradise Biryani and Motorola, both improving by +7.4.

Other brands that have shown impressive improvement are Kotak General Insurance at 7.3, Signal at 6.7, Havells at 6.3, Chingari at 6.0, and Booking.com at 5.9.

In the global rankings report, Ahmed focuses on the top 10 recommended brands across 24 markets and the top 10 improved brands across 20. The YouGov Recommend Rankings 2024 are built on the YouGov BrandIndex positive Recommend score, which is the proportion of a brand’s customers who would recommend the brand to a friend or colleague. The top ten ranking is calculated between June 1, 2023, and May 31, 2024, with data gathered from members of the public in markets around the globe every day using YouGov BrandIndex’s flagship tool.

Improvers Ranking shows average data from June 1, 2023- May 31, 2024 compared to June 1, 2022- May 31, 2023.

Every day, the performance of all brands is ranked against a range of metrics. The Recommend ranking is the percentage of any brand’s customers who would recommend it to a friend or colleague. To be included in the rankings, all brands must have been tracked for at least six months and at least 18 months for improvers. Scores are representative of the general population of adults 18+. All Recommend scores are rounded to a single decimal place.
