Piramal Finance Joins as Associate Gold Sponsor for India-Sri Lanka T20s
India’s T20 tour of Sri Lanka today got a boost as Piramal Capital & Housing Finance, the financial services company and a wholly owned subsidiary of Piramal Enterprises Ltd. (PEL), associated themselves as the associate gold sponsors. Today, an announcement in this series declared the playing of three T20 Internationals and three One Day Internationals in July and August.
One of the associate gold sponsors, Piramal Finance is going to be utilizing the opportunity to the fullest for brand name awareness and outreach to these cricket lovers. The brand, Piramal Finance, is going to be seen through in-stadia branding and beamed across on advertisements through this cricket event’s broadcasts. Piramal Finance believes in strong community outreach and raising awareness on the various kinds of services for the firm within the financial sector.
Sharing thoughts about the association, Arvind Iyer, head marketing, Piramal Finance, said, “The country’s passion for cricket transcends boundaries, and we’ve long realized that ‘Budget Bharat’ is the very fabric of India. More so, in cricket, across the smallest towns and biggest cities and through the length and breadth of the land, it has a way of bringing together people for those few moments when all that matters is the joy, excitement, and shared experience in that moment. Coming together with Sri Lanka Cricket as Associate Gold Sponsor for the India-Sri Lanka T20 Series shall firm up this commitment to be with the country when it truly matters, no matter where they are. In our sponsoring of this Series, we hope to support ‘Budget Bharat’ in its financial well-being and also baggage our purpose with further love that the country has for cricket. We look forward to this partnership built on shared vision, intending to reach out to the hearts and not just the minds, driving relationships, growing the brand, and making a difference in the lives of those who associate with us.”
Upul Nawaratne Bandara, Head of Marketing, Sri Lanka Cricket, said, “We are delighted to have Piramal Finance on-board as the Associate Gold sponsor for the T20 series. We are pretty confident that this will give them value towards achieving their goals and making a stamp in the personal finance space.”
The series started with back-to-back T20Is running from 27 to 30 July at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, while the ODI series started on 2 August at the R Premadasa Stadium of the country’s capital, Colombo. This would be an important series for both the teams as this is the first time after 2003 that this series would witness new coaches: Gautam Gambhir coming up for India, and Sanath Jayasuriya for Sri Lanka.
