
The popular social networking application, TikTok, is being sued by Texas which accused the former for violation of the privacy of children and the state law. This is because the social networking application shares the personal information or identifiers of children without consent from their parents.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed a lawsuit seeking an injunction on up to $10,000 in civic penalties ordered for violating the SCOPE Act or the Securing Children Online through Parental Empowerment Act of the state.
