The CCPA has issued a notice to Ola Electric for violating consumer rights due to false trade practice and misleading advertisements. The case is against the company because of misleading advertisements and unfair trade practice. Documents to reply have to be submitted within 15 days. This came after a public spat between Ola’s founder Bhavish Agarwal and comedian Kunal Kamra over after-sales service issues.
CCPA action comes as an aftermath of tremendous outcry on Ola Electric’s customer services and quality concerns where an investigation was on the grounds that the company might be misleading consumers and engaging in unfair business practices.
