Pakistan, now, their pulp fiction hero film actor Fawad Khan is shooting his Bollywood film with actress Haniaeh here in London. Now a sequel of the success story ‘Abir Gulaal’ is being produced by Eastwood Studios directed by Aarti S Bagdi. Brainchild of former executive of Reliance and Phantom Vivek B Agrawal and Devang Dholakia, Eastwood Studios would be part of the Bollywood, eager to grow.
With this film, Fawad, who was enjoying an immense fan following in India, is returning to Bollywood after eight long years. The movie recently went on the floors in London where it will be shot on an entire grand scale for two months in October and November.
It is a romantic comedy revolve around two people healing themselves and falling for each other.
After the Uri terrorist attack, Pakistani artistes were forbidden to work in Bollywood; and after the Pulwama strike, The All Indian Cine Workers Association and other associations went ahead with a complete ban on artists across the borders. Since then, no Pakistani artists have acted or performed in India. Indeed, a day ago alone, it was when Fawad Khan starrer ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’, which is now among the top-grossing films in Pakistan with its net earning at Rs 400 crore, was slated to hit Indian screens when his latest show ‘Barzakh’ was slated to release on ZEE5, but opposition from political parties meant that it did not happen.
Fawad has acted in a number of Bollywood films like ‘Khubsoorat’, ‘Kapoor & Sons’ and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. Whether ‘Abir Gulaal’, which is going to be released world-wide, will hit the silver screens in India or not will only be seen. So far, the makers of the film are yet to declare any official date and future plans.
