UNFPA’s Dr. Natalia Kanem & Navya Nanda Discuss Youth & Women’s Rights

Dr. Natalia Kanem, Executive Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and Under-Secretary-General of the UN, had a conversation with prominent young Indian entrepreneur and advocate for women empowerment Navya Naveli Nanda for a special video podcast (vodcast) titled “When Navya meets Natalia.”

The vodcast, filmed at the UN House in Delhi, provides a candid and inspiring conversation between Dr. Kanem and Navya, touching on key issues such as reproductive rights, gender-based violence, and the role of youth in shaping a more equal world. Both leaders emphasized the importance of immediate action in empowering women and girls, creating an environment where they can make decisions about their lives and futures without fear or constraint. Dr. Kanem highlighted how India’s youth—257 million strong—are at the forefront of global change, driving progress not just in their own country but around the world.
