Actress, Producer & host Nikita Rawal speaks on how crucial it is to give attention to mental health, opens up on why perhaps many actors slipped into the pressure and committed suicide in the past!
Actress, Producer & host Nikita Rawal has always been famous for her fearless attitude when it comes to conversations. For somebody like Nikita, her mental health has always been a top priority and no surprise, she’s always made sure from her own side that she’s got her mental health in order and always positive. Earlier this month, Nikita Rawal was questioned regarding her opinion on the issue of mental health and how she believes most actors in the past under the pressure succumbed to it and committed suicide. Speaking about the same, Nikita has to say,
“Mental health has always been very important for me. If you are in a good and positive frame of mind, you can take good care of yourself personally and professionally too. That’s what I always try to do. Honestly speaking, I don’t allow anything to enter my head. Neither do I take my success too seriously nor my failure. Both success and failure come from the life of an individual and bifurcation between personal and professional life is necessary. You cannot allow either to affect your sanity. Yes, unfortunately, many actors in the past have succumbed to the pressure of mental health and have ended their lives. Its heart-wrenching and I am in no position to speak about what led them to take the extreme step and neither should I. It’s very unfortunate. But yes, I do believe they ended up taking the extreme step because of being lonely. Sometimes, as a celebrity, you may feel that the world around belongs to you and still feel very alone. That loneliness is very unsettling. So, I would say to one and all that whenever you feel things are not going right, just talk and communicate with someone. Don’t take the pressure on yourself alone. Talk to your near and dear ones and if necessary, seek professional help about mental health. Life is the universe’s best gift to us and we should do everything necessary positively to guard it. May God bless everyone with love and blessings.”
