Directed by Prem Mistry and written by Abhishek Yadav, the series masterfully depicts the mayhem of growing up in a lower-middle-class neighbourhood, where the spirit is as strong as the odds. At the core of the story are three childhood friends— Chaitanya, Rohan, and Kamlesh navigating the unpredictable journey of adulthood amidst career struggles, romantic dilemmas, and societal expectations. Anud Singh Dhaka’s grounded portrayal of Chaitanya stands out as one of the show’s most relatable and compelling arcs, marked by quiet strength and raw vulnerability.
Reflecting on his time on set, Anud shares how the realism of the locations added depth and authenticity to his performance, “ The locations added depth, and it really helped me authentically portray my character Chaitanya in Lafangey. Noida isn’t just the setting— it’s a character in itself. It is also heavily based out of Delhi, which itself is a whole mood. From the rooftops to the houses, every corner contributes to the emotion and energy of the story. There’s this one terrace scene where you see a monument in the background, and you realize how everything, including the skyline, the streets, even the mood of the city, becomes part of the narrative. Once you watch the show, you will realize it’s unlike anything you have seen before.”
