Sony Pictures Networks India Appoints Gaurav Laghate as New Head of PR & Corporate Communications

Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has named Gaurav Laghate its PR and Corporate Communications Head in a leadership change, starting September 2025.

In his new role, Laghate will lead SPNI’s communication strategy stressing building the company’s corporate reputation and improving stakeholder engagement across all its businesses. He will be reporting directly under Gaurav Banerjee. Banerjee serves as MD and as CEO at SPNI.

Laghate experiences the media and entertainment space with a wealth of. Prior to him joining SPNI, he was Senior Editor as Head of the Consumer Bureau at Mint. He kept close track of and put in reports on the media sector there, covering all things from linear TV and OTT platforms to advertising and regulatory affairs.

It is seen that his shift from journalism to corporate communications is a planned step since it brings a fresh insider perspective to just how SPNI shapes its brand narrative within today’s dynamic media landscape.

SPNI made this appointment so it continues strengthening its leadership team as it envisions being a top content powerhouse in India.
