MoU to strengthen industry-ready education through B.Tech and BCA
programmes from Academic Session 2026-27
Greater Noida | 11 August 2026: Noida International University (NIU) has signed a
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HCL GUVI Technologies to strengthen industry-
integrated education and prepare students for emerging technology-driven careers. Under the
collaboration, three programmes — B.Tech in Data Science, BCA in Data Science, and
B.Tech in Semiconductor Technologies — will be offered from the Academic Session 2026-
27.
The partnership is aimed at bridging the gap between academic learning and industry
requirements by integrating contemporary technology skills, practical exposure, and career-
oriented learning into the academic journey. Through this collaboration, students will gain
greater exposure to emerging areas of technology while developing skills aligned with evolving
industry expectations.
The collaboration comes at a significant time as the admission season for the 2026-27
academic session gets underway. As part of the partnership, HCL GUVI will conduct a series of
training sessions for NIU’s admission counsellors, enabling them to effectively
communicate the value, learning benefits and career outcomes associated with the integrated
programmes. Detailed presentations and supporting materials will also be provided to assist
counsellors during interactions with prospective students and parents.
The three-programme collaboration marks an expansion of the academic partnership between
NIU and HCL GUVI, with a focus on creating stronger pathways between classroom learning
and professional opportunities.
Dr. Devesh Kumar Singh, Chairman, Noida International University, said, “The integration of
industry expertise into academic programmes is an important step towards preparing students
for the changing demands of the technology sector. Our collaboration with HCL GUVI will
enable students to gain exposure to emerging technologies while developing practical and
industry-relevant skills. We look forward to strengthening this partnership and creating greater
value for our students.”
A representative of HCL GUVI Technologies said, “We are pleased to deepen our association
with Noida International University across these three future-focused programmes. Our
objective is to support institutions in creating meaningful connections between academic
education and industry requirements. Through structured learning, practical exposure and
industry-orientated training, we aim to contribute to the development of a skilled and future-
ready talent pool.”
As part of the collaboration, NIU has also been requested to showcase the partnership on its
official university website. The initiative is expected to help students and parents better
understand the industry-integrated nature of the programmes, including their curriculum
advantages, technology exposure and career-oriented learning outcomes.
The partnership builds on HCL GUVI’s wider efforts to strengthen technology-focused education
across academic institutions. Its engagement with educational institutions has included GenAI
Learnathons, Skillathons, Hackathons and innovation-focused student programmes,
providing learners with opportunities for practical exposure and problem-solving.
HCL GUVI has also conducted Faculty Development Programmes covering emerging areas
such as Generative AI, Advanced Python, Data Analytics and Blockchain with AI. These
initiatives are designed to support faculty members in keeping pace with emerging technologies
and evolving industry requirements.
The organisation has further developed academic partnerships with institutions across India,
with an emphasis on outcome-based education and employability-focused learning. Its global
collaboration initiatives are aimed at strengthening international academic connections and
creating future-ready talent pathways.
Participation in prestigious convocations and accreditation forums has also formed part of HCL
GUVI’s broader engagement with the education ecosystem, reinforcing its focus on academic
excellence and industry-academia collaboration.
The partnership between Noida International University and HCL GUVI reflects a shared
commitment to bridging the gap between academia and industry through structured,
practical, and industry-relevant learning. With the integration of Data Science and
Semiconductor Technologies into the academic portfolio, the collaboration seeks to equip
students with skills that can support their professional growth in some of the fastest-evolving
areas of the technology sector.
