No added sugar, no sweeteners, no preservatives—SIX6R wants to make sparkling water the new everyday drinking habit for a generation looking for flavour without the fuss.
The beverage aisle is having a rethink. As consumers become increasingly curious about what exactly goes into their everyday drinks, a new Indian brand is betting that less can actually be more.
Enter SIX6R, a new sparkling water brand founded by hospitality entrepreneur Karan Nohria and global marketing leader Rashi Oberoi, which has launched in India with a deliberately simple proposition: carbonated water, natural fruit flavour and nothing else.
Available in Classic, Lemon and Peach, SIX6R is priced at ₹79 per can, positioning itself between the worlds of functional refreshment, youthful branding and accessible premium beverages.
The Clean-Label Pitch
SIX6R’s biggest differentiator is what it leaves out.
The brand says its sparkling water contains no added sugar, no sweeteners and no preservatives, with the ingredient proposition centred on carbonated water and natural fruit flavour.
That puts the brand squarely into a consumer conversation that is moving beyond simply counting calories. Increasingly, shoppers are reading labels, questioning ingredient lists and looking for beverages that feel straightforward rather than overloaded.
SIX6R is leaning into that simplicity rather than disguising it.
The brand’s philosophy is built around the belief that the beverage aisle needs a new everyday habit—one that doesn’t require consumers to choose between taste and a simpler ingredient proposition.
From St. Xavier’s Malhar to a 20,000-Strong Community
Interestingly, SIX6R began building its audience even before its official launch.
The brand made its pre-launch debut at St. Xavier’s Malhar Festival, where its activation found an early audience among young consumers. Since then, SIX6R says it has built a 20,000-strong social community, with its irreverent tone, energetic identity and distinctly Indian personality becoming an important part of the brand proposition.
For SIX6R, the ambition extends beyond selling sparkling water. The brand wants to create a personality-led beverage that feels culturally relevant to the generation it is targeting.
And that explains the unapologetically bold identity surrounding a product that, at its core, is remarkably simple.
“We Saw a Very Real Gap in the Beverage Aisle”
For co-founder Karan Nohria, the idea came from a straightforward consumer problem.
“SIX6R was created because we saw a very real gap in the beverage aisle. If you are trying to stay away from sugar, it can be surprisingly difficult to find a drink that is genuinely clean, tastes great and still feels exciting. We wanted to change that. SIX6R is made with carbonated water and fruit flavour, with no added sugar, sweeteners or preservatives, making it diabetic friendly. We created it with the intention that even people who need to be mindful of their sugar intake can enjoy a drink without the usual sugar spike and crash associated with many beverages . For us, this is not about making another beverage, it is about creating a better everyday drinking habit,” said Karan Nohria, Co-Founder, SIX6R.
The brand’s proposition therefore isn’t positioned around giving up flavour or fun. Instead, SIX6R wants the choice of a simpler beverage to feel just as exciting as choosing a conventional soft drink.
“An Expression of Confidence, Energy and Attitude”
For Rashi Oberoi, co-founder of SIX6R, the brand’s identity is just as important as its ingredient philosophy.
“SIX6R was never meant to be just another beverage brand. It is an expression of the confidence, energy and attitude that India does so well. We wanted to create something that feels unmistakably Indian and genuinely relevant to young consumers, from the way it looks and tastes to the way it speaks. SIX6R is about making a choice that feels good without feeling restrictive. It is the new habit India is looking for, one that brings together great flavour, a clean proposition and a whole lot of personality. We’re a country that’s practically addicted to sugar, and our beverage aisle is broken: if you’re off sugar, it’s genuinely hard to find something clean to drink. SIX6R is the answer for all of those people. It’s the new habit India has been looking for .”
That cultural positioning could prove just as important as the product itself. In a crowded beverage market, a can needs to stand out before a consumer even gets to the ingredient label.
SIX6R appears to understand that equation: simple inside, expressive outside.
₹79 and Three Flavours to Start
The launch range keeps things uncomplicated with three variants:
Classic
Lemon
Peach
At ₹79 a can, SIX6R is aiming to make its clean-label proposition accessible while maintaining a premium visual identity.
The brand is currently available through its own website with delivery across India, while its Mumbai availability includes Nature’s Basket and Society stores, beginning September 1, 2026.
Is Sparkling Water Ready for a Bigger Indian Moment?
Sparkling water has historically occupied a relatively niche space in India’s beverage landscape. But changing consumption habits, premiumisation and growing interest in alternative beverages are creating room for brands to rethink what the category can look like.
SIX6R is approaching that opportunity differently. Rather than positioning sparkling water purely as a sophisticated alternative for an established niche, it is attempting to make it young, accessible, social and distinctly Indian.
Its ₹79 price point, social-first identity and simple ingredient proposition are all part of that attempt.
Whether SIX6R can turn sparkling water into an everyday habit remains to be seen. But its proposition is clear: take the sugar out, keep the flavour in, and make the can impossible to ignore.
The Mauve Take
The new beverage flex may not be about having more ingredients—it could be about needing fewer.
With SIX6R, sparkling water gets a distinctly Indian, youth-focused makeover, complete with bold branding, three easy-drinking flavours and a clean-label proposition that puts the ingredient list front and centre.
At ₹79, the brand is making a fairly simple bet: maybe the next cool drink isn’t sweeter. Maybe it’s simpler.
