India’s architecture, interiors and building materials community came together at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, as the 7th edition of MATECIA Exhibition concluded alongside the 11th edition of THE WADE ASIA, India Furniture Conclave (IFC) and the Material Technology Conference (MTC).
Held from 20 to 23 August 2026, the four-day industry gathering brought together more than 350 brands, 65,000+ visitors and participants from 700+ towns and cities, alongside international participation from more than 15 countries.
Spread across approximately 5,00,000 sq. ft., the exhibition featured over 1,000 products, spanning architecture, interiors, furniture, surfaces, wood panels, flooring, laminates, plywood, doors and windows, kitchens, wardrobes, hardware, machinery and other allied categories.
Where Materials Met Markets
Positioned as a business ecosystem connecting dealers and distributors, OEMs, architects and designers, MATECIA continues to bring different sides of India’s built-environment industry into one marketplace.
Alongside the exhibition, THE WADE ASIA created a parallel platform focused on architecture, design, women professionals and industry leadership. India Furniture Conclave and India Interior Retailing added dedicated conversations for furniture manufacturers, retailers, showrooms and professionals across the interiors value chain.
The combination created an event environment that moved beyond product displays, bringing together business conversations, knowledge exchange, networking, awards and professional recognition.
The platform also extends beyond Delhi through MATECIA’s regional editions in Bengaluru, covering seven southern states, and Kolkata, serving the East and Northeast markets across 12 states.

Discussions explored the future of the wood panel and decorative furniture industry, changing consumer and market demand, competition and the prospects for interior infrastructure amid global volatility.
Meanwhile, the one-and-a-half-day India Furniture Conclave focused on the evolving furniture ecosystem, bringing together manufacturers, architects, designers, retailers and industry experts.
Among the sessions was “Luxury Furniture: Craftsmanship and Quality Making Indian Brands Global,” which examined how Indian furniture businesses can build international recognition through craftsmanship and quality.
Another session, “Turnkey Fit-Outs: Workspaces, Commercial, Hospitality,” explored the changing requirements of commercial and hospitality environments.
THE WADE ASIA: Putting Women and Design at the Centre
Running alongside MATECIA, THE WADE ASIA continued its focus on recognising and connecting women across architecture, interior design, real estate, construction and the wider built environment.
According to Maddhu Chaudhury, Associate Director, THE WADE ASIA Architecture Event, the platform receives more than 3,000 entries annually from across India, with 250 finalists and over 50 awardees across more than 28 categories.
The THE WADE ASIA Designs India Conference brought together industry voices for conversations around the business of design, changing market realities and the distinction between building a strong design practice and building a successful design firm.
A keynote by Dr. Ning Huo, Executive Principal, AEDAS, Singapore, titled “Designing Future Cities: From Infrastructure to Inspiring Urban Destinations,” looked at the evolution of Asia’s rapidly growing cities and the role of transit infrastructure in creating more sustainable urban environments.

Another notable conversation, “The Gen Next Women in Real Estate,” presented by THE WADE ASIA and NAREDCO MAHI, brought together Dr. Priya Shah, Aashi Dua and Nidhi Aggarwal, with Preeti Singh Mundra, Additional Director General, NAREDCO, as moderator.
The conversation examined the changing opportunities and responsibilities for the next generation of women entering the real estate industry.
Celebrating the Next Generation of Design

Speaking at the event, Nandita Das highlighted the importance of platforms that bring women professionals together, particularly as spaces for learning, growth and collaboration.
Beyond the formal programming, the four-day event created opportunities for brands, designers, manufacturers and professionals to meet through business meetings, informal interactions and collaborative conversations.
“The Quality of Business Conversations Stood Out”
Reflecting on the response to the exhibition, Pragat Dvivedi, Director, MATECIA Exhibition, said:
“MATECIA 2026 has reinforced the scale of opportunity emerging across India’s building materials and interiors market. What stood out this year was the quality of business conversations and the strong interest in new products, materials and solutions across the industry.”
For MATECIA, the emphasis remains on creating connections that can develop into long-term business relationships, while providing brands with a platform to present new materials, products and solutions to the professionals shaping India’s built environment.
Verticaa Dvivedi, Director of MATECIA Exhibition and Founder of THE WADE ASIA Architecture Event, attributed the success of the national edition to the participation of exhibitors and visitors, while noting that preparations are already underway for the East & Northeast edition in Kolkata from 12–14 February 2027.
With its 2026 edition, MATECIA and THE WADE ASIA brought together the commercial and creative sides of India’s built environment — from materials and manufacturing to architecture, interiors, furniture, retail and design leadership — under one expansive platform.
