Five cities. Two floors. One Sunday with no itinerary.
There is a particular kind of pleasure in not knowing what comes next.
A Sunday that begins with lunch and somehow becomes drinks. A conversation that moves from one floor to another. Music that makes you stay longer. A dish you didn’t plan to try. A performance you happen to stop and watch.
Sorena Unbrunch is built around exactly that kind of afternoon.
Beginning October 4, 2026, Sorena in Bandra will transform its Sunday experience into a city-sized grazing journey, bringing together five culinary worlds—Mumbai, New York, Sicily, Tokyo and Istanbul—across two floors.
But the food is only part of the story.
The idea is to create an afternoon that unfolds rather than one that needs to be followed.
Five cities, one table
At the heart of Unbrunch is Sorena’s existing culinary identity, translated into a live, roaming Sunday experience.
Mumbai brings the unmistakable energy of the city, with pani puri, pav bhaji, raj kachori, corn chaat and more.
Sicily arrives through pizza by the slice and a live pasta station, alongside arancini, ravioli, risotto and other Italian favourites.
Tokyo brings ramen and Japanese-inspired bites including gyoza and okonomiyaki.
Istanbul takes over with hummus, baba ganoush, labneh, olives, souvlaki and Turkish grilled fish—food designed for grazing and sharing.
And then there is New York, bringing hot dogs and tacos alongside loaded nachos, smash burgers and deli-style sandwiches.
Together, the five culinary worlds create an experience that feels less like moving through a fixed menu and more like moving through a city.
You don’t have to complete it.
You simply have to spend time in it.
A Sunday without instructions
The philosophy behind Unbrunch is deliberately loose.
Guests can move between floors, stay at their table, follow the music, meet friends, order another plate or simply stay longer than they intended.
Alongside the food, the afternoon will feature live music, artists, an illusionist, face painting, a DJ and a dedicated kids’ corner.
There is no prescribed sequence.
You might arrive for lunch and stay for the music. Your children might disappear into the kids’ corner while you linger over another drink. An illusionist might turn an ordinary moment at a nearby table into an impromptu performance.
The entertainment exists around the experience rather than dictating it.
Designed for discovery
“The best parts of the world’s great cities are rarely planned,” says Sumit Govind Sharma, Founder, Monarch Liberty Hospitality.
Describing the thinking behind Unbrunch, Sharma says the intention was to bring together food, music, artists, people and movement without telling guests exactly how to experience them.
“Come in, move around, eat, meet people, bring your children, stay a little longer than you planned. Let the afternoon unfold around you,” he adds.
Kersi Marker, COO, Monarch Liberty Hospitality, describes the concept as a rethink of the traditional Sunday dining format.
Rather than having guests simply sit down and move through a predetermined menu, Unbrunch gives them the freedom to explore across five culinary worlds and two floors.
The luxury of having nowhere to be
Perhaps the most appealing part of Unbrunch is its refusal to make Sunday feel like another appointment in the calendar.
In a city where weekends can become just as scheduled as weekdays, the idea of an afternoon without a checklist feels increasingly indulgent.
At Sorena, the food is ready. The music is playing. The artists are there. The city-inspired kitchens are waiting.
What happens next is entirely yours.
Because sometimes the best Sunday isn’t the one planned perfectly.
It is the one that starts somewhere—and simply keeps unfolding.
