NEW DELHI, SEPTEMBER 2026: Sir Orrick’s Irish Whiskey, a premium triple-distilled Irish whiskey, has made its debut in India, brought to the country by Mehra Wines Pvt. Ltd. (MWPL). Crafted in Ireland, the whiskey is matured in carefully selected barrels and finished in bourbon and sherry casks, bringing together traditional Irish whiskey-making with a contemporary approach to premium spirits.
At the heart of the brand is Sir Orrick, the Knight of the Barrels, a character dedicated to the craft of making exceptional Irish whiskey. Sworn not to a crown but to the craft, Sir Orrick embodies the brand’s guiding philosophy, “Quality is an oath, not a claim,” reflecting its focus on craftsmanship, patience and character.
AN IRISH WHISKEY, CRAFTED WITH TIME
Sir Orrick’s is triple distilled in Ireland, with carefully selected barrels and bourbon and sherry casks contributing to its character and depth. On the nose, it offers vanilla cream, honey and fresh orchard fruit, with notes of pear, green apple and lemon zest. The palate brings together vanilla, toffee, apple, pear and malt biscuit, with light oak spice and a creamy texture, leading to a smooth finish with subtle notes of sweet grain, dry oak and pepper.
The whiskey can be enjoyed neat, over ice or in cocktails. Its distinctive bottle combines classic whiskey cues with a contemporary premium design, drawing inspiration from the brand’s “Knight of the Barrels” identity.
THE KNIGHT’S CLUB BRINGS SIR ORRICK TO LIFE
To mark its India debut, Sir Orrick’s hosted The Knight’s Club at Arts Room, Eldeco Centre, Delhi, an evening centred on Irish whiskey, craft and storytelling. Guests experienced the brand through whiskey-led experiences and the symbolic Clover Key, culminating in the bottle unveiling and a collective “Sláinte!”
Cyrus Broacha stepped into the role of Sir Orrick, the Knight of the Barrels, bringing the character to life and hosting the brand’s first Indian chapter.
