From traditional performances to food pop-ups and interactive games, this new weekend festival offers another reason to enjoy Abu Dhabi after sunset.
Abu Dhabi’s cooler evenings are getting a lively new addition. Village Nights at Zayed Sports City is bringing together live entertainment, food experiences, interactive games and Emirati cultural performances in an outdoor setting designed for families, friends and anyone looking for a different kind of weekend outing.
Located near the tennis courts and Zone D pitches, the festival adds a community-focused experience to the capital’s seasonal calendar, pairing casual dining with music, cultural programming and activities for different age groups.
A Weekend Festival Rooted in Culture and Community
Village Nights puts Emirati traditions alongside contemporary entertainment, creating a space where visitors can enjoy an evening outdoors while experiencing elements of local culture.
Traditional Ayala performances, known for their rhythmic movement and poetic chants, form part of the programme, alongside live music and interactive activities. The mix makes the festival appealing to visitors seeking both cultural experiences and a relaxed social atmosphere.
The opening weekend, held from October 9 to 11, featured Arabic fusion band Musilive, live musical performances, bingo sessions and activities for all ages. The entertainment programme was also scheduled to return from October 16 to 18.
Food, Coffee and Casual Dining
Food is another part of the Village Nights experience, with a line-up of familiar café and dining concepts. Visitors can look forward to names including DRVN, Costa Coffee, Tummy Yummies, Healthy Station, Ka’aki w Nos and LAMORE, with burger concept SALT also announced as a forthcoming addition.
Whether it is coffee with friends, a casual dinner with family or a snack between activities, the food offerings add to the festival’s easy-going, outdoor appeal.
