Jio Studios and Hardik Gajjar Films come together to create a very charming yet romantic comedy, Amar Prem Ki Prem Kahani starring Sunny Singh, Aditya Seal, and Pranutan Bahl. The teaser indicates love is combined with humor perfectly. Enjoy the rides and turns of this unusual love story as it hits the screens on Jio Cinema on 4th October.

The trailer gives a glimpse of the life of Amar (Sunny Singh) who is all suffocated by the societal norms when he explores his sexuality. Seeking to break free, he travels to London and gets caught up with the dashing Prem (Adityy Seal) on his flight. Amar is called back by family due to an ’emergency’, but he learns that he’s been thrust into an arranged marriage. Amar fights over the misconceptions and family drama. Amar and Prem have to struggle for their love against all odd. Will their bond last, or will family duties tear them apart?.
Sunny Singh on doing the character Amar: “Amar is a Punjabi guy—a sweet charmer who is emotionally connected with everybody in his family. However, he has kept one thing hidden from them; his sexuality and diffident talking about it. For Amar, love is very pure and compassionate, and he has always been searching for an intense relationship, which he finds with Prem, a contrasting personality. As an actor, I feel lucky to have had this opportunity in my acting journey. My co-stars were really wonderful, and we had great camaraderie on the sets of the film. Our film director guided me through my role very well, and I learned something new every day on the sets. The film portrays same-sex relationships beautifully and aesthetically on-screen, and I am sure that everybody will fall in love with it.”
Aditya Seal on playing Prem and bonding with co-stars: “I play Prem in Amar Prem Ki Prem Kahani. He wears his heart on his sleeve and lives each day as it comes. For him, love is a feeling he’s both afraid of and guards himself against until he meets ‘the one’ and realizes the lengths he’ll go to get that love back.”. It was again a different type of challenge to play Prem as no matter what I do, I would never be able to experience the depth that Prem feels. A huge part of this journey has been owed to the director of the film, who helped me understand Prem on a deeper level. My co-star, Sunny, was amazing throughout the shoot. We developed a strong bonding and did behave like brothers. Hilarious that we belong to the same place but it is Amar Prem Ki Kahani that finally brought us together. So sweet of Pranutan-she has this dry humor which made work a lot of fun with her and we could always have some good banters going on. Our production houses, Jio Studios and Hardik Gajjar Films, really took good care of us. They have been great; I have no choice but vivid memories to cherish from this ride.
ON experience and bonding with Amar & Prem: Pranutan Bahl “I play Mandy in Amar Prem Ki Prem Kahani who believes that love can and should be extreme-there is no filter when you love someone, and everything is fair in love and war. The film allows me to show a very different side of my acting trajectory since my character has a bit of a grey shade. It has been amazing and challenging to play the antagonist in a sweet rom-com like Amar Prem Ki Prem Kahani where you need to have a certain kind of comic timing while also being a bad person. My co-actors are fantastic; both of them have been phenomenal in the film. My producers, Backbencher Pictures, took good care of us during the shoot, and I am excited to work with them in the future. Thanks to Jio Studios for being so encouraging and believing in all of us-it always helps when you know they have your back.”
