Diwali is the perfect time to take a break from the everyday routine and make time for memorable experiences with loved ones. While the festive season is often about celebrations at home, it can also be an opportunity to explore new destinations, reconnect with nature, and enjoy a change of pace. Whether it is waking up to the sounds of the forest, unwinding by the beach, or escaping to the hills for an adventure-filled holiday, a change of setting can make the festive break even more special.
For those looking to celebrate Diwali differently this year, here are three unique stays across India that bring together nature, comfort, and memorable experiences for a refreshing festive getaway.
1. Bagh Tola: A Wildlife Escape Close to Nature in Bandhavgarh, Madhya Pradesh

Located in the surroundings of Madhya Pradesh’s renowned wildlife landscape, the retreat is suited to those looking to step away from busy city life and spend time closer to nature.
Founders Camp represents the latest chapter in the story of Bagh Tola, which has built its reputation through its original Jungle Lodge in Bandhavgarh. Beyond traditional jungle safaris, guests can enjoy private safaris, guided forest walks, stargazing, machan viewing, wildlife photography experiences and campfire evenings at Bagh Tola Founders Camp. Led by experienced naturalists, these activities offer fascinating insights into Bandhavgarh’s rich biodiversity, making every encounter with the wilderness both memorable and enriching.
Food is an important part of the stay, with a dining experience inspired by local flavours and the natural surroundings of the camp. You can enjoy wood-fired meals, jungle-inspired thalis, breakfasts in the forest and dinners under the stars with your loved ones. A private dining tent and specially curated menus further add to the experience, allowing guests to enjoy meals at their own pace and according to their preferences.
