The concept of pet ownership has undergone a significant transformation over the last decade. What was once expressed through feeding strays, adopting pets, or keeping a dog as a household guard has now evolved into an intimate culture of ‘pet parenting,’ where pets are treated as full-fledged family members.

To celebrate this deep bond, Bark Out Loud, Solitario, and Supertails have collaborated to launch India’s biggest Paw Pageant. This pioneering event comes with spectacular rewards for the winners! The first prize is a dazzling diamond-studded crown worth Rs. 7.8 lakh. The second runner-up will be named the Face of Bark Out Loud’s upcoming campaigns and will also receive a professional photoshoot by a renowned photographer. The third-place winner will enjoy a year’s supply of Bark Boxes filled with Bark Out Loud goodies, delivered by Supertails. Clearly, these prizes are worth ‘pawsing’ for!

This pageant offers free entry and will be judged by a curated panel of experts who will shortlist 12 of the most captivating entries as finalists. These 12 entries will then be shared on social media, where pet parents and animal lovers can vote for their favorites. The entry that secures the most votes will be crowned the ultimate winner!

Participants must submit a video from 10 to 30 seconds, showcasing a creative presentation by their pet. The judging criteria will be based on Dressing & Styling, Act & Performance (tricks), and Creativity (storyline, sketch, or skit). This is the first time a pet can win an actual diamond crown! The Pageant is now live and the final winners will be announced on 28^th March, 2025. Participants can upload their entries on their social media using the hashtag #pawpageant2025 and tag Bark Out Loud and Solitario.

Speaking about the contest, Kunal Khanna, Founder – Bark Out Loud said, “Pets have become an integral part of families today, and many people proudly identify as pet parents. Their world revolves around their fur babies, and we wanted to celebrate this beautiful sentiment while encouraging more people to welcome pets into their homes. This shift from being pet owners to pet parents has deepened the connection between humans and their pets, fostering a demand for better lifestyles, healthier food, and superior care for their beloved companions. It’s heartening to witness a new generation with compassion for animals, and we hope to preserve and pass this sentiment on to future generations.”

Kabir Kate, Chief Marketing Officer – Solitario added, “As a brand dedicated to lab-grown diamonds, we believe in sustainability and passing on a legacy to future generations.
