After sending its viewers on a rollercoaster ride of some unseen stunts, COLORS’ ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ has finally declared Karan Veer Mehra the ultimate khiladi of the season. Amidst this adrenaline whirlwind, it was Karan Veer Mehra who trespassed human limits, while Krishna Shroff and Gashmeer Mahajani became the first and second runners-up, respectively. Continuing the action-packed journey of unbeaten success, India’s favorite stunt-based reality show, et al. put an entirely new spin to holidaying in European paradise, Romania for its 14th edition. Marking the show’s debut in this beautiful country, the battleground of fear flipped the script, turning a dream destination into a scare-cation that kept viewers glued to their screens for nine weeks. All modes of transport came in as a medium of fear as contestants faced a bear for the first time. Blockbuster Director and popular TV host, Rohit Shetty hosted the 14th season of the show Presented by Hyundai, Powered by Charged, Special Partners Indica Easy Hair Color, Vicks & Berger Paints has come to an end after a full-fledged action fest.
From the first leap to the final victory, Karan’s journey on ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 14’ turned out to be a glorious chapter of courage; this was something that stunned both viewers and fellow contestants on task after task. Whether he was standing out in extreme heights, facing nature’s wild challenges or braving the most intense obstacles, he approached each stunt with the arrogance of a man who knew that victory wasn’t just achieved by strength but also by remaining composed under pressure. What actually stood out, however, was the manner in which he gained the respect of his co-contestants. Despite the cutthroat competition, he was always a great encouragement to his surrounding people and, in fact, even in the fiercest battles, sportsmanship and camaraderie can be seen flowering. The host himself couldn’t fail to notice the excellent performances of Karan, as he too happened to praise his tenacity and strategy many a time. He parted not as the ultimate khiladi of the season but as the picture of perseverance, gaining his place in the hearts of millions.
Speaking on the season and Karan Veer Mehra’s victory, Host Rohit Shetty said, “What a rollercoaster ride this season has been! Romania threw everything it had at us and our brilliant bunch of contestants performed incredible stunts with a smile. It is more than worthy of praise that Karan Veer Mehra almost never lost his footing as he took on never-seen-before challenges. Congratulations to him for bagging this game-changing edition and writing his own story of courage. I thank the viewers for showering their love on the show and cementing its place amongst the greatest reality shows every year.
As we close the 14th season of ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’, Rishi Negi, Group Chief Operating Officer – Banijay Asia and Endemol Shine India further adds, ” Congratulations to the well-deserved winner Karan Veer Mehra for not only conquering new challenges but also some amazingly tricky stunts created just for this season. This season, we sought to redefine the rule book of reality TV and, with audience love, that’s all we’ve achieved. It’s been a sheer delight to create a season that has seen so many firsts. Nothing could have been possible without COLORS’s support, ensuring that heart-pounding action from ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 14’ went to every corner of the country.
Exploring the world of reality television with COLORS has been an exciting and life-changing journey. I have not even started to put into words the surreal feeling of doing something that once seemed impossible. Winning this season was unthinkable without the guidance of the one and only action king, Rohit Shetty sir.”. My fellow contestants were not just opponents, but brothers in battle against that dreadful feeling of horror and a lot of them have turned out to be my friends. Heroes whom I must thank are really the viewers who loved me throughout this process. This victory isn’t mine alone-it is every single one’s who stood behind me.”
It was in the climax finale that the spectacular Alia Bhatt and dashing Vedang Raina celebrated the culmination of the season by ragging about their next movie, ‘Jigra.’ In a great twist, they dared none else than Rohit Shetty to sit through a funny video montage that playfully mocked Shalin Bhanot. The very patient audience was treated to endless amusement as Rohit Shetty let his inner comedian loose as he effortlessly mimicked the walk of Shalin with impeccable time. There was no holding back! The duo, Shalin Bhanot and Gashmeer Mahajani, treated the audience to an electrifying performance of “Aaj Ki Raat,” and their undeniable chemistry was live. Alia added to the excitement by auditioning for Rohit Shetty’s cop universe, playing the fierce role of a Sherni Cop. She proved herself a great source of laughter as she turned her inner badass, giving a lesson to a group of kidnappers for kidnapping her on-screen brother, Vedang. The grand finale also saw an unsuspecting commoner who has so far been living his Khiladi dream by being the finalist of the Hyundai Drive to Win getting the opportunity to do some hair-raising stunt with Karan Veer Mehra. And if all this was not enough, the audience got to witness a thrilling sneak peek into the Bigg Boss 18 where the new riveting theme, “Time Ka Tandav,” left everyone yearning for more!
