Actor Sshrey Pareek, who has been part of television projects including Jhanak and made his bollywood debut with Oye Chill Maar is a self-confessed coffee lover. With International Coffee Day being observed on October 1, Sshrey opened up about his love for coffee, his morning routine, his favourite way of having it and the one Bollywood actor he would love to sit down with over a cup of coffee.Talking about what makes coffee special to him, Sshrey said, “Coffee is first love. It just activates me. Now it’s part of my lifestyle, I guess. I am a fitness freak and coffee gives me an amazing kickstart for the day.”For Sshrey, mornings call for a hot cup of coffee, while cold coffee is something he prefers later in the day. He shared, “Morning will always be hot Americano. I avoid sugar in the morning, so cold coffee is for evenings.”
Coffee has also become an integral part of his daily fitness routine. The actor revealed that he likes to have his coffee before heading to the gym, especially because he is an early riser. “Coffee before the gym is a must. I am an early riser and it’s been years since I have my coffee and hit the gym. There’s no better option to start a day for me,” he said. If given a chance to enjoy a coffee conversation with a Bollywood celebrity, Sshrey knows exactly whom he would choose. The actor picked Ranbir Kapoor and said he would want to discuss films and acting with him. “It’s Ranbir Kapoor for sure. And I just wanna talk about films with him, his legacy. From Prithviraj Kapoor to him. About his way of performing, everything about acting,” he shared.
Sshrey also has a special coffee memory from his time on the sets of Jhanak. Recalling an evening ritual that helped him recharge during long shoot days, he said, “I think it’s from Jhanak. Around evening on set, you need a nice coffee to regenerate yourself for the remaining day. And I found a person who is an absolute fanatic for coffee. She used to get everything to make an amazing coffee possible on set and most of the time she made one for me, that always made a day on set of Jhanak. And that’s Jyoti Mukherjee.”
For Sshrey, coffee is therefore more than just a beverage. From being a regular part of his pre-gym routine to becoming a way to unwind during hectic shoot schedules, it has found a permanent place in his everyday life and some of his fondest memories from the sets.
