The ready-to-drink cocktail brand is now available in Pune and is set to enter Mumbai, adding a distinctly Indian flavour to its growing 15% ABV portfolio.
Mumbai, September 8, 2026: India’s ready-to-drink beverage landscape continues to evolve as global and homegrown brands experiment with formats, flavours and occasions. Adding to that movement, BuzzBallz has expanded into Maharashtra, bringing its distinctive 180 ml ball-shaped format and four-flavour portfolio to consumers in Pune, with a Mumbai launch expected by the end of September.
The Maharashtra expansion follows the brand’s India debut in Bengaluru in December 2025, followed by its entry into Goa in May 2026. With Pune and Mumbai joining its footprint, BuzzBallz is now present across three states and four cities in less than a year.
A Ready-to-Drink Format With a Distinct Identity
BuzzBallz has built its identity around its instantly recognisable spherical packaging, single-serve format and flavour-forward approach to ready-to-drink cocktails.
In Maharashtra, the brand’s 180 ml format carries a 15% ABV, with the products priced at ₹125.
The four-flavour line-up includes three existing India offerings and one new flavour created for the market:
- Berry Lemon Squeeze — Berry and lemon with a tangy, zesty profile
- Strawberry Squeeze — Strawberry and lemon
- Chili Guava Groove — Guava with a chilli-led sweet-and-spicy profile
- Jamun Mint Pop — A new combination of sweet jamun and a minty finish
The flavour selection reflects a broader trend within India’s beverage market: consumers are increasingly being introduced to familiar regional ingredients through contemporary formats.
Jamun Meets Mint
Among the four offerings, Jamun Mint Pop is the newest addition to BuzzBallz’s India portfolio.
The combination brings together jamun, a fruit deeply familiar to Indian consumers, with mint for a contrasting cooling note. It follows the brand’s broader approach of adapting its flavour proposition to local tastes rather than relying solely on conventional international profiles.
That India-specific approach also forms part of BuzzBallz’s expansion strategy as it moves into increasingly diverse urban markets.
Maharashtra Becomes the Next Growth Market
According to Jess Scheerhorn, President, BuzzBallz, the response following the brand’s India launch has encouraged its expansion into Maharashtra.
“The response we have seen to BuzzBallz in India has been incredibly encouraging, and Maharashtra was a market we were particularly excited about entering,” said Jess Scheerhorn, President, BuzzBallz.
She added:
“We’ve seen incredible momentum since our launch in late 2025, and that response tells us adult Indian consumers are ready for a bolder, more convenient way to enjoy cocktails. With BuzzBallz now available in Pune and set to launch in Mumbai this month – the interest we have seen across Maharashtra from retailer and distributor enthusiasm to consumers asking us on social media when BuzzBallz would land in their city – has been incredibly encouraging. Maharashtra’s scale and energy make it the perfect stage for BuzzBallz to grow its footprint even further.”
The company says the brand is already gaining traction in the markets where it is available, with its differentiation centred on its packaging, flavour range, alcohol strength and single-serve format.
India’s RTD Market Continues to Shift
BuzzBallz’s Maharashtra expansion arrives against the backdrop of a growing ready-to-drink category in India.
According to IWSR, India’s ready-to-drink segment is projected to grow at a 6% CAGR through 2034, placing it ahead of the projected growth of several traditional beverage alcohol categories.
The appeal of the category lies partly in its convenience, but the evolution is also being shaped by flavour experimentation and changing consumer preferences.
For BuzzBallz, that creates room to build a proposition around a combination of convenience, flavour and a visually distinctive format.
“BuzzBallz has captured a sizeable share of the market in the markets where it is currently available, and we believe that comes down to offering consumers something genuinely distinctive. From the instantly recognizable ball-shaped pack and bold flavors to the 15% ABV and convenient single-serve format, the proposition is unlike much of what consumers have traditionally encountered in the category. As Indian consumers become more experimental in their choices, we see a real opportunity for brands that can bring together flavor, convenience and a sense of fun,” added Scheerhorn.
From Bengaluru to Maharashtra
In less than a year, BuzzBallz has moved from its initial India launch in Bengaluru to a growing multi-city footprint spanning Bengaluru, Goa, Pune and Mumbai.
With additional city and state expansions planned, Maharashtra represents another significant step in the brand’s India strategy.
For a category increasingly defined by experimentation, convenience and localisation, BuzzBallz’s next phase will be less about simply entering new markets and more about understanding how India’s diverse cities respond to a new generation of ready-to-drink formats.
