The new Sector 113 dining destination is bringing European-inspired flavours, contemporary interiors and a slower approach to eating to one of Gurugram’s emerging neighbourhoods.
Gurugram’s dining culture has spent years chasing the next big restaurant opening. But as the city’s food scene matures, the idea of a good restaurant is beginning to change. It is no longer only about what is on the plate. It is about how long you want to stay, who you are meeting, what the room feels like and whether an ordinary meal can become an occasion.
That is the space Lume & Lime is entering.
Recently launched at M3M SCO Market in Sector 113, the premium contemporary bistro brings together international flavours, modern design and an atmosphere intended for lingering rather than rushing through a meal.
And perhaps more interestingly, it is being built with a distinctly young perspective.
A New Kind of Neighbourhood Bistro
Lume & Lime has been founded by 20-year-old Ananya Agrawal, Dr. Vishal Agrawal and Preeti Agrawal, combining established entrepreneurial experience with a younger understanding of how contemporary diners want to spend their time.
Ananya, who is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Management Studies, serves as CEO & Co-founder. The concept grew from a fairly simple question: What would the founders themselves want from a premium bistro?
The answer was a space that could work across occasions — a morning coffee, an easy lunch, an evening meal or a celebration — without feeling like it belonged exclusively to one of them.
“Lume & Lime was created from a simple idea: to build the kind of bistro that we ourselves would love to spend time at.”
— Ananya Agrawal, CEO & Co-founder, Lume & Lime
That distinction matters. Contemporary hospitality is increasingly being designed around time and experience, rather than simply transactions. Restaurants are becoming places where people work, meet, celebrate, date, unwind and return simply because they like being there.
What Is on the Menu?
Spread across approximately 3,800 sq. ft., Lume & Lime takes a global approach to its food, with a European-inspired menu drawing from Italian, Mexican/Tex-Mex and Mediterranean cuisines.
The menu includes brick-oven pizzas, tacos and Tex-Mex specialities alongside dishes such as the Cheese Skillet and the bistro’s signature Skillet Cookie.
The brick oven is central to several of the restaurant’s offerings, while the broader culinary philosophy focuses on freshness, presentation, ingredient quality and consistency.
Rather than committing itself to one cuisine, Lume & Lime is essentially responding to the way contemporary diners already eat. One table might want pizza, another tacos, another something Mediterranean — and increasingly, restaurants are expected to accommodate that diversity without losing their identity.
The Rise of the Experience-Led Restaurant
For a city like Gurugram, this is an increasingly relevant proposition.
The NCR dining market has become crowded with specialised restaurants, cafés, bars and destination-led concepts. In that environment, food alone can be difficult to use as a differentiator.
The room matters.
The service matters.
And increasingly, the feeling of the place matters.
Lume & Lime positions itself around exactly that intersection. Its interiors and hospitality are intended to create a space where people can slow down and spend meaningful time together, while the menu provides enough variety to make repeat visits worthwhile.
It is a model that sits somewhere between the traditional neighbourhood café and the destination restaurant: accessible enough for everyday visits, but polished enough for celebrations.
Building a Brand Around Community
The founders are also looking beyond the launch itself.
Lume & Lime aims to develop a loyal community and evolve through guest feedback, rather than treating the opening menu and concept as a finished product. That approach reflects a wider change in hospitality, where restaurants increasingly operate as living brands — adapting menus, experiences and spaces according to how their audiences actually behave.
The long-term ambition is to grow Lume & Lime into a recognised premium bistro and hospitality brand with multiple locations.
The challenge will be maintaining the character that makes the first location distinctive as the brand scales.
For hospitality businesses, expansion often creates a tension between consistency and character. The former allows a brand to be recognisable; the latter gives people a reason to visit in the first place.
Lume & Lime’s next chapter will depend on how successfully it balances both.
Why Sector 113?
Its location is significant too.
Situated at M3M SCO 113 Market along the Dwarka Expressway, Lume & Lime enters a part of Gurugram that is continuing to develop as a residential, commercial and lifestyle catchment.
As new neighbourhoods mature, dining often becomes an important part of their identity. Restaurants do more than feed residents; they create places for people to gather and contribute to the social character of an emerging area.
That makes the bistro’s positioning as a neighbourhood-oriented premium destination particularly interesting.
More Than a Restaurant Opening
Lume & Lime may be a new name on Gurugram’s dining map, but its larger proposition reflects something already happening across India’s hospitality industry.
The restaurant is becoming less about a fixed category and more about occasion.
A bistro can be a breakfast spot in the morning, a meeting point in the afternoon, a date-night destination in the evening and a celebration space at night. The strongest concepts are beginning to recognise that people don’t necessarily want restaurants that tell them what kind of occasion they are having.
They want spaces that can adapt to the occasion they have already chosen.
For Lume & Lime, the ambition is to create precisely that kind of flexibility — international food, considered interiors and warm hospitality in a setting designed to make staying a little longer feel natural.
And as Gurugram’s newer neighbourhoods develop their own social and cultural identities, the restaurants that succeed may not simply be the ones with the most ambitious menus.
They may be the ones that become part of people’s routines.
