Warner Bros. Discovery is reorganizing its international children’s team in a significant overhaul, with changes including expanded roles for executives and the departure of APAC chief Chris Ho.
According to an internal memo from Vanessa Brookman, General Manager of Kids, Global Streaming, and International Networks, Pablo Zuccarino has been promoted from Senior Vice President and General Manager for Kids and Family in Latin America and US Hispanic to Head of Kids and Animation for Latin America, with added responsibility for international portfolio strategy. Zuccarino, based in Miami, now reports to Fernando Medin, President and Managing Director of Latin America and US Hispanic.
Chris Ho, who served as VP of Kids Content for APAC since last December, is leaving the company due to these changes. Brookman acknowledged Ho’s contributions, which include launching the Singapore-produced Tom and Jerry series and Cartoonito.
Ana González, based in Madrid, expands her role to include oversight of the Asia Pacific region as Vice President of Kids Content for Southern Europe, APAC, and Africa, across linear, streaming, and VOD platforms.
In London, Sean Henry has been promoted from VP of EMEA Kids Content Strategy and Partnerships to VP of International Content Partnerships and Content Strategy for EMEA. Sean Gorman now oversees pay TV networks for EMEA and manages kids channels in the UK, Nordics, Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey. Mark Taynton takes on the role of Head of Adult Swim, EMEA, and oversees international adult animation content management.
Michelle Truong transitions to a new role as Manager of Original Animation in Los Angeles, joining the US team under Michael Ouweleen, President of Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Boomerang, Discovery Kids, and US networks.
Additionally, Monika Oomen becomes VP of Brand, Communications, and Digital Strategy for EMEA, Alison York is appointed Head of Kids Data and Insights, and Sarah Fell takes on the role of VP of Original Animation EMEA at Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe, reporting to WBD Animation President Sam Register in LA. All three are based in London.
